If you are not a fan of Onyx (like me), definitely you can consider TE or Blue Agate in YG. Unfortunately i don’t have 5 motifs Carnelian so i can’t comment on this tiger eye bracelet.

A month or two ago I bought a tiger's eye bracelet, at first glance, it was a golden brown with slight dark bands. After wearing it for a while. The bands got darker and some of the stones are almost pitch black. What does this mean?

Hello so sorry for your bracelet.
I never heard of that happening to TE stones before : TE is supposed to be a pretty well durable stone (under carnelian and onyx). Did you wear it under shower / use chemical products etc ? Is it an original VCA (bought in a boutique)? If yes I would return to my SA to ask about that … maybe they can do something or explain what happened (I don’t think it is normal after 2 months)
Could you please share pictures before / after ? Could it be the reflection with different light only ?
I am sure other well informed member of the forum can help (@nicole0612 for example)
What would be possible if you’d like is to change all the 5 stones at VCA but of course at a certain cost (I think MOP is 250-300$/ stone, turquoise ~900 and I am pretty sure that TE is in between)

Oh no! I’m sorry to hear that. I’d love to see photos too, as I have been wanting TE, but love it in the lighter-golden hue. I’d be so disappointed if that happened to my bracelet.

Yes, I agree, this is not normal at all. I have worn tigers eye in the shower for weeks in a row and it is fine. It can get wet, but any stone should not be subject to cleaning agents or chemicals. Replacement should be $240 + tax per stone, and you will need to replace all 5 stones. Did you buy it directly from VCA?
