Hi All-

Just wanted to warn a few people out there. I really love the T hinged bangle and got it to commemorate the birth of my son whose name starts with a T. Unfortunately I noticed within a few weeks the clasp would open on its own/somewhat easily whenever i lifted things like my baby. I sent it in and they put a safety chain on it. I just got it back today. I really don’t like the look of the long chain that will easily get caught on stuff at all. I really love the look of the bracelet and the personal meaning it has for me but not sure how to keep it secure! Anyone have any ideas??

Yikes, the chain seems like a strange solution. It’s an unattractive addition to a beautiful bracelet. I’m not familiar with the mechanism on the bracelet but I’m wondering if you could somehow use loctite for this as many do for the love bracelet? Good luck.

Oh no! So sorry to hear/see this. It does take away the original design of a beautiful bracelet. Plus this is quite a lot of money you have spent on this diamond version.
Mine is still quite tight, but I always make sure I press on the hinge to insert it and not just force it in.
Anyways although I have no experience like yours, I do think you should bring it to the attention of a manager to have them change the hinge perhaps. This chain is quite unacceptable to me.....
Once again, so sorry this has happened. Hopefully you get it resolved soon!

Hi. Just wondering did you get to resolve this with Tiffany? Hope you had a favourable outcome.

I don’t like the chain at all. It reminds me of the old 80s mall bangles that used chains before newer designs on clasps cams out, sorry to say.

This is Tiffany, not some cheap piece. It should close per the original design.

I would ask for a new piece. Perhaps yours was defective? I cannot imagine all others in the same style do the same.

Does anyone have more experiences with this bangle? Is the clasp secure enough to wear it 24/7? I’m debating between Love and this one, I like Tiffany and this design much more than the Love, but I don’t want to take it off every evening so I would like to be sure that I will be able to wear it even night! Thank you!

Did you and up purchasing the Tiffany bracelet? I am now considering the same bracelet but I want to be sure I can wear it every day.

Tiffany offers two options if you want added security to a bracelet. One is the safety chain. But the other is a “safety latch.” The latch is much more discreet and goes better with bangles.

These early T bangles didn’t have the best closures in my opinion. Same with the Atlas stuff. But the newer designer bangles have much better closures, that are more secure and more aesthetically fitting with the overall design.

Ohhh, I didn't know that! Thank you for the explanation! :flowers:

Thank you. Definitely helped me decide I will purchase the bracelet in a few weeks. Currently on a van cleef streak and want to switch it up.
