I don't think you will have any problem exchanging it for a new one. I am a long time Tiffany silver customer and I think that they are very eager to accommodate clients. It's sad that it happened to you on your very first purchase. It would have been better if it had happened to someone like me, as I have a regular SA and I have confidence in her and the brand. I really hope things go well for you with this.

Dear Diane, you are so kind, am touched by your words..

Dear ladies, I've just made a trip to Tiffany's, and the SA very nicely offered to exchange a new necklace for me. She said silver reacts like this sometimes...

I didn't want to risk it happening a second time, and am not prepared to upgrade to a platinum one right now (DBTY has been on my mind)... So I exchanged it for a bracelet instead

First of all congratulations on your new piece. Its so shiny and pretty :) wear in good health.
I actually received the same bracelet with the round tag, at the weekend for my birthday. I was having the same problem as you, really struggling to do it up on my own. I found the answer is to use a very small piece of gentle tape to stick one end of the bracelet to your wrist. It makes it easy to do up on your own. I used to medical tape so it was gentle on the silver. Hope that helps!

Thanks! And I will definitely try your tip! Otherwise must train my hubby or daughters to put it on for me ;)

I have a lot of Tiffany jewelry and I wouldn't give up yet. I've never had any issues and they've always been helpful to me at the Tiffany store in Boston. I'm sorry this happened to you and they should replace it if it's fairly new. What did the SA say? Did they try to use a Silver polishing Mitt on this? I'm glad they were able to replace this for you.

Dear purse princess,
The SA was nice and exchanged it straight away. However it took away the magic of Tiffany's somehow... I can still appreciate the workmanship and design of their jewelry, but I find myself hesitating to get another piece of silver from T. Maybe when I save up enough to buy gold or platinum then I'll try again. Will stick to pandora for now...
