Why not HW's Cushion-cut Yellow Diamond Micropavé Ring?:smile1: I have yellow diamond Soleste and love it, but I may prefer single halo. I really love HW's micropave setting.
Hi. I've considered that, but it's waaaay out of our budget! Apparently their yellow diamonds start at like $32000 because they don't have yellow diamonds in smaller carat size. LOL!! As I was informed by the SA.

Have you seen them IRL? I was in love with the Soleste until I saw it in person. Not that this changed my mind or anything but two of my clients have it in different sizes and it just didn't do it for me.

I've seen the Soleste in real life - multiple times (tried it on and looked as well). As for the Tryst, I've seen it before but never tried on. You're right! Maybe I should go visit HW first and try it on. I'll do that! It will clear my thoughts probably.

I would get the Soleste. Gorgeous and very Tiffany. I love Tiffany and have several pieces including my diamond ring. The brand recognition is worldwide and there are stores everywhere.

Since you are concerned about brand recognition, for the rings you posted and guessing the diamond size, Tiffany is better in my opinion. Everyone will love the Soleste because it's a gorgeous iconic piece from Tiffany. But for the HW lovers, those folks who know about HW are more impressed with big rocks and looking at the photo, to me, that emerald does not say "HW big rock" so it doesn't pop to me. It looks like just another diamond ring. Now if it were 3cts or more, that would be nice. HW is known more for big rocks.

Still though, I would choose a Tiffany diamond anyway over HW (I did).

It sounds like you like the look of the Tiffany more, so go for it. If you buy the HW just for the name, you'll probably regret it in the long run, not to mention few people would even know it's HW.

You have a point. That's what I'm thinking too. It's like when you see someone wearing a Soleste with yellow diamond, you know it's from Tiffany. As for the Tryst, it is really very subtle and for most people, it will look like another diamond ring.

I'm choosing between a .47 ct yellow diamond Soleste and a .73 ct HW emerald cut white diamond. They are the same price range. The Soleste is much smaller in carat but provides more finger coverage I'm sure than the HW. Same price but I think it's 'cause Soleste is a yellow diamond.

Oh... Given the sizes, for sure the Tiffany. The Tiffany will get recognition and has wow factor. For me personally, I would not even bother with HW for that size diamond. It will just look like another ring. Also, I would rather have a higher end piece from a brand than a lower end piece. For example, you made the comment Tiffany is really common... Yes, it is common for lower end silver. However, how many people do you know have a platinum Tiffany ring... Only a few maybe. So you are certainly at the high end and people will admire and love your Tiffany ring. Then, how many people who own HWs have little diamonds. HW is not known for tiny diamonds, so I doubt many will admire and say I want your HW ring. You will be at the lower end of HW which I personally would not buy a piece of a brand if I were the low end. It makes zero statement. And isn't the whole point of buying branded items to make a statement? It is for me.

Anyway, that's my honest opinion. I know many will disagree with me and will love HW no matter how small the diamond, but I wanted to share this for you to think about as you factor in your decision.

I understand what you're saying. The Soleste really do have that jaw-dropping tendency. I remember when I first tried it on, I almost cried. Hahahahah!

HW is different and to be honest, I never even considered Emerald cuts until I've looked at HW. And it's really more on, "I'll consider the HW Just Coz it's HW."

Design wise, stone wise, I do love the Soleste way better. That's really my 1st choice. I just got distracted along the way. I guess as another member put it, I might regret getting the HW since I'm not in love with the design to begin with. Just the name.

I just want to update you guys on my quest, in particular, the service I received from both stores.

1st off, I initially inquired with Tiffany in person about the Soleste. Usually, it's a hit or miss with Tiffany. The first time I inquired, the SA was really helpful. The second time, a different SA this time. She wasn't too helpful. As in, she really wasn't. This was weeks/days ago. So I resorted to just calling their CS and other branches Over the phone.

Let me share my experience with them over the phone. I called the SD branch. The SA was sooooo helpful, even looked in their system to see my option. She said, when we come over, we will have champagne and some "finger food". Basically, it's gonna be like a mini party. LOL! Very helpful lady. Makes you feel like we're friends.

The Santa Monica branch SA was really helpful too. Told them we'll be coming from OC and she warned me that SM can be a pain on weekends and she advised us to do the Valet parking and that valet is on Tiffany.

Imagine that. I guess Tiffany just "upped" their customer service level a notch. :)

And then, I went to Harry Winston. The SA was so helpful and so refined. It's definitely quieter and more personal. Gave me Fiji water, LOL! She knows I'm considering the Soleste. Very informative, let me see how the stone will look like in the sun. I was surprised at how gracious they are considering my budget is really limited for HW.

It gave me the chance to finally see the Tryst in person. It's soooo lovely. Didn't realize it's actually so pretty in person. Very subtle, very classic.

Anyway, I'll be checking out the actual Soleste in my carat size soon. From there, I should be able to see.

I realize that Customer Service really does play a huge part in a couple's decision making. HW visits has always been exemplary. Tiffany, it's a hit or miss - not unless you have a regular SA you're working with. But lately, they've been exemplary as well.

One of you suggested that I see the Tryst in person, and now that I did, my mind is chaotic again. Thank you. :)
