Hello there, thank you so much for your feedback. Appreciate it greatly

.
Maybe I need to share a little bit more about myself. I am married with two young girls and turned big 40 last year. This ring is to celebrate my fabulous age and a special gift for myself hence I opt for yellow diamond rather than anything else. But I totally agree with you that the Tiffany solitaire is to-die-for.
My Sales prof (SP) has been so patient with me as my hunting for the right ring actually began end Oct - from deciding on the colour and setting (novo, true, soleste) to the diamond cut (tried cushion, pear, oval) and finally now to single or double halo. I have decided to go for 1.3ish carat oval yellow diamond with fancy intense after trying out so many rings (thanks to her who was so helpful to source for different carat sizes, cuts of rings for me to try on). As I heard from her that there is no stock globally for single halo with my criteria hence I need to wait for 2-3 months for re-setting (from a double halo to single halo).
My style is pretty minimalist kind - nothing too over the top and always opt for something simple. I know deep down inside that single halo is more towards my style but I am just unsure whether single halo yellow diamond ring will look good on me (FYI, I tried a 1.07carat D colour oval halo diamond ring) and given the long waiting time.
Hi! Thanks for the background.
First, Happy 40th!
Now that I know you’re a classic elegant lady, for me, I would definitely not get a double halo. That style seems very “young” to me. As I said earlier... it’s for folks who want a big ring look but have a small diamond to work with. To me, the diamond gets lost in the setting. I know, it’s my opinion only and others may disagree.
If you have to have a halo but you are not sure of the single halo, maybe try on some halos at other stores. Halos are everywhere as you probably already know from ring shopping.
I love ovals too. My first engagement ring (a total surprise as I did not know he was going to propose) was an oval solitaire and I got so many compliments on it. It’s an elegant shape.... I would have never guessed.
Be patient ring shopping. It took me a year before I finalized my upgrade decision. I thought I wanted another oval, then an emerald, then a yellow diamond, then a halo to bling it up. The round solitaire was last on my list as I thought rounds were boring. Wrong!
Why did I end up with the Tiffany round solitaire? Because the round cut sparkled the most, and sparkle, fire and diamond wow factor was what I wanted. The other cuts were beautiful but they did not sparkle like the round. The yellow was unique, and it looked great on me, but not awesome (I think yellow diamonds look best on super light skin for optimal contrast, again my opinion... I am light, B20 shade in Chanel makeup but not very light). I also went with a solitaire setting as I looked at a billion photos of rings. With fancy settings like a halo, the eye is first drawn to the tiny diamonds and secondly, the eye then moves to the center diamond. So it’s more about the setting. With a solitaire, it’s all about the diamond. I wanted my diamond to be the star, no distraction, all in it’s sparkling glory. So after a year of deciding (and torturing my husband asking.... “which one pops more”)... I decided on the classic Tiffany round with a lot of sparkle.
If you are sure you want a halo, my vote is for a single halo. If you are unsure if a halo is for you, my vote is to try on rounds and ovals and look at the sparkle and fire.
Don’t rush. Tiffany gets stock all the time. You will know when it feels right and there is no doubt, “this one is it!”
Congrats again and happy 40th!
I’m so happy for you!
