Hello!
My hubby bought me a Christmas present these simple earrings. He went to the store alone and the guy said oh that makes it easier for me when my husband was already pointing at what he wanted to buy.
Also he felt some kind of looks in him and was judged until he said his zip code... then they changed towards him. This isn’t any good on my book!
Anywho, I opened my pretty blue box w red ribbon to find this gross items!
My dear hubs says maybe from their storage but he said they had the earrings in plastic before putting them on the bag and box!
What you guys think this is?! Used? Storage?

Yes! I’ll make sure I will be there when they open tomorrow and ask for the manager! I also sent private messages to both Instagram and fb Tiffany accounts. This is disgusting and BS!

I’m thinking to just have my husband buy them online and return this ones instead of exchanging but it’s so low price/comission that I might just exchange for another pair in store tomorrow.

My husband doesn’t like shopping for himself and also doesn’t go to jewelry stores or let alone buy something for me without me to help him and when he does this happens. I just can’t believe it!

Exchanged for a new pair. Salesperson didn’t bother to look closely and ask me if I knew silver BIG ROLLEYES! So I showed him a pic and he’s like oh that’s not supposed to be there and took it off. It fell in the box and I still have it in the box.
I have reason code 2 in the return. Does anyone know what that resin code means?

With that attitude i would have just returned them! Some nerve...

That is so gross and unprofessional to sell those in the first place, and it's a shame how the salesperson reacted. I would've just returned them too, because it doesn't sound like anyone in that store deserved the commission, regardless of the price.

Who knows really but that doesn’t look used to me (unless a werewolf wore them). It actually looks like a bit of the final wheel used for polishing remained wrapped around the post on the earrings after they were made.

But, either way, at least Tiffany’s offers exchanges on earrings so you could get new ones.

When i was young, i used to keep my earring on for months without taking it off..that earring looks like mine after i took it out and my mom would say it was gross because i had to asked for her help to take it off since it seemed stuck. We shed dead skin cells all the time and not to mention oils and dirt...after that, i always take off my earrings.

Sure, but I’m sure the backs of your earrings and (especially) the butterfly clasps were not pristine when that happened. But, like I said, anything is possible. Although, if someone had those on for months, then it would have to be an employee. And, if I were wearing the merch and then putting it back, I’d be wearing the diamonds. ;)

In any event, in my mind, a lot of us like Tiffany’s because of their excellent return policy. Because they take returns, they might actually miss the occasional sign of wear on their products when they prep them for sale again. That’s an employee education issue

Lol maybe diamonds will be more secured. Lol i guess it was returned and they didnt check it. Maybe they can offer a discount. She could just clean this up

That certainly is unpleasant. Im glad you returned them. Its a shame they treated you so poorly. If they wont treat you well over a small purchase then its not worth a big purchase. Make sure your statement is heard so that they can improve themselves and the next customer gets good service.
