I know it’s a joke to pay so much for it now when the bracelet only has 23 stones that is 10 points each. For that money, I could get a nice yellow diamond ring.
I usually say that a piece is "worth" whatever one is willing to pay, since it can be about the emotional connection as well. And if you can afford it, why not, whatever. I thought the gold wave bangle was slightly overpriced even when I bought it years ago, but I loved the look and it's been a very strong fave. But dang $5k is insane, even I wouldn't be able to do the mental gymnastics for that. It's nearly up there with Cartier Love in price, and while I'm no expert, the wave bangle is super lightweight and it cannot have anywhere near as much as gold as Love.

As long as you've been enjoying your bracelet, and at least you got it 3.5 years ago!

Apologies if this is considered OT.

Oh I love the wave collection. I would pick that bangle over a cartier love bracelet. I have a pair of wave earrings in WG. I could not stop touching them whenever I wear them.

Can you share a pic of it? if it's the one i'm thinking of, it looks super flimsy
I was referring to the Elsa Peretti "Wave five-row bangle" in YG, currently priced $5200 on the website. It may look fragile but it's strong enough for normal daily wear. The gold "wire" is quite firm; it's fairly tough and will not bend out of shape by simply taking on and off. I feel like it would take something quite substantial to "squash" it out of shape (like sitting on it full force or stomping).

Stopping here, don't want to derail the thread and go OT:flowers:

Not yet announced. Last year it was in Sept. This year I would start getting ready for it in June (just my feeling, given the crazy inflation, raising gold prices and LVMH's other price increases).
That’s a good point, thank you! Was worried since I saw that Cartier’s having theirs. I did ask my SA, but she told me nobody knows as of now. Will keep you all updated if I hear anything again.

Yep now that I beat the price increase for Cartier I am turning my focus to Tiffany’s. Let’s hope it later than sooner. Please keep us posted!

On the Tiffany Japan's website:

【価格改定のお知らせ】
2023年6月6日(火)より、一部商品を除き価格を改定いたします。

[Notice of price revision]
From June 6, 2023 (Tuesday), the price will be revised except for some products.
I wish I could read Japanese. I am thankful that they have the courtesy of letting customers know there will be a price increase.

I just got off the phone with my SA in NJ and she confirmed a price increase this Friday, May 19, 2023! I asked about these pieces:
T1 hinged bangle (plain gold) $6900 to $7300
I believe the lock in plain gold will also be $7300
T1 narrow hinged bangle in plain gold $4300 to $4600
Tiffany T regular wire bracelet $2400 to $2550
This is in the United States.
