Looks like most of the Tiffany stuff people sell is silver!

I'm considering buying a silver piece (something easy to keep shiny and tarnish-free with a little diligence) but although I see tons for sale on Ebay, I'm super-wary of fakes  I'd imagine Tiffany silver is difficult to sell for a decemt price due to such fears...

There are a lot of fakes out there unfortunately and Tiffany silver doesn't have a high resale value unless perhaps it's hard to find discontinued item. I unknowingly purchased a fake about 10 years ago and educated myself quickly after that. I got my money back but it was a nightmare!

IMG_6210.JPG IMG_6212.JPG IMG_6216.JPG IMG_6217.JPG I've sold 2 pieces recently. I bought both second hand and they were authentic pieces. I just never wore them. I had them for a few years and didn't touch them so there was no point holding on to them.
One was a lariat elsa paretti teardrop pendant in sterling silver
the other was an elsa paretti round pendant in SS with a silk cord

Love the round pendant. I would have kept that one

I sold a pair of gold earrings - I think they were called "Biarritz". I thought they looked sophisticated and businesslike but ultimately I found them too "1980s Dress for Success". I never wear suits anymore,so they sat unworn forever. (The attached photo is not mine but shows the style) now that I see them again they are kind of cute... Holy crap - didn't expect the photo to be that huge, LOL!

About a year ago I sold my Tiffany sterling silver eternity earrings and necklace. I'm starting to move away from silver as I get tired of the tarnish. I'd rather just get white gold.

I'm trying to decide if I'll sell my silver / diamond atlas necklace and my Tiffany blue box pendant necklace . Beyond the fact that they are silver - which as I mentioned I'm cooling on - they seem a little unsubstantial. I feel like I've outgrown them.

Sold basically all of my silver minus a couple of pieces. Really wish I bought Tiffany gold early on. the first to go was the return to Tiffany pieces. Don't miss it at all, it's very 90s to me. Sold extra Olympian charms. Was hoping I'd find the gold versions by now but no dice. Sold a locket from my ex as well. Tiffany took back a couple of silver pieces from me as well and I believe I put the credit towards another gold piece. I like silver for older but classic designs that you may not wear every day. I.e. Elsa Peretti bone cuff. Any metal you buy it in, it's a classic. Or her scorpio pieces... those are on my list as well.

I have sold several pieces, all on eBay.
1. Elsa Peretti Open Heart hoop earrings - stopped wearing them because they are larger than I would wear
2. Elsa Perretti Starfish earrings - again, don't really wear these types of earrings anymore
3. 1837 ring - I got as a gift and already had that very ring. I was going to re-gift it but just sold it instead
4. Elsa Perretti heart ring - old discontinued piece. It was an abstract heart and I used to wear it daily for years. It got completely scratched up and I just never wore it again because I had newer rings (like engagement and wedding bands!).
5. Tiffany puffed heart silver necklace - honestly I hardly remember this piece. It was a gift too and it never laid right.
