Tiffany may no longer sell Elsa Peretti

I think Tiffany needs Elsa and vice versa. I hope she does stay on. I currently own one of her platinum rings with diamond. I may add a platinum DBTY soon. If she does part with Tiffany and distribute her own brand, I will not buy her items. I like the fact that Tiffany can clean, inspect and service their items.

It seems likely that if Peretti and Tiffany part ways, there would either be another company that would buy the intellectual rights, or Peretti would create her own company to manufacture and distribute her designs. I can't imagine that there would no longer be any way to purchase her jewelry.

I think part of her allure is that she is only available at Tiffany. I expect she will lose a lot if potential new clients and revenue. Her success is not just the designs, but her affiliation with Tiffany and I hope she realizes that and not let her success get to get head.

That said, I recently bought her bottle necklace and love it. You ladies may want to check it out. It is a great summer statement piece.

I hope both Tiffany and Elsa Peretti can come to an agreement. I can't imagine one without the other. A separation would truely be sad. I have so many DBTY, color by the yard, pearls by the yard pieces...it would be a sad day if those pieces were no longer available.

I was at Tiffany's today and mentioned this article to the person who was helping me in the customer service area and first she said that I must have read some rumor and I told her no it was a legitimate article. I told her what I remembered and she really seemed to know nothing about it. Weird, especially after when I looked at her badge and it said manager!

UPDATE: I spoke to her again this afternoon to tell her the source of the article and she says that she looked it up after talking with me but that it has not been released internally as of yet.

When I think of Tiffany, Elsa Peretti is the first thing that comes to mind. In fact, most of my Tiffany ideas are from her... I really hope she'll stay, or at least, her designed for Tiffany items will!

oooooo sounds lovely! pics? what material??

Hi... I got the medium in silver. Love it... It's chunky to make a statement. The large is huge and in my opinion, not elegant looking.

I wear the medium often... Thinking of getting a small to wear together but I think it may take away from the look of medium... A bit too bottle crazy.

I like her designs as well and hope Tiffany will continue the relationship. I assume they will look deep into it though and see really what profit they turn and if it justifies paying whatever amount of money it is she is seeking. I doubt there will be a mad rush to purchase her designs. The company can still sell her designs for at least 18 months from any termination and can still make her designs for 6 months after a pull out. I assume Tiffany will use that 6 month initial window to make enough designs to keep up with demand for the following year. At the end of that year Elsa will need to either buy out her designs or Tiffany can still sell them.
