Tiffany Lock Vs Cartier Love

I understand why you're considering this particular Tiffany Lock, since it has a similar look to the Cartier Love with diamond "stations." However, I think this Tiffany Lock style is a bit masculine. I know it's a bit more expensive, but please take a look at the Half Pave Lock.

i prefer the half pave lock to the one you posted.

That said, the lock collection was recently released and the love is a classic style that has been around for decades. I don’t think one replaces the other.

When I was looking at the Lock and T1 recently, the SA at Tiffany’s told me not to go with the T1 because it’s an old design that was out for a while now. She suggested I should go for the ‘latest hottest design’ (the lock) that all the celebrities are wearing. So I went with the Love.
“How not to chase your customer away”.
Like someone has shared here, it’s hard to pick a truly classic line from T.

I tried the Lock a couple times and it has quickly come off my list. The imbalance of the design I found to be quite uncomfortable and actually distracting to look at. I understand the whole concept of this IS to be a LOCK but fit wise, the thicker one side/thinner other side along with the quite oval shape just doesn't appeal to me on my wrist. However, in your case since you find it to be a perfect fit; all the better! For me, I also found it does not stack that nicely with other bangles. In my opinion, if anything, its best worn alone. I am glad you to tried it on as pictures are not the same as having it on the wrist. I thought I'd like it from seeing pictures but I quickly changed my mind. No shade towards Tiffany, this just isnt my cup of tea. Meanwhile, unlike you, I find the Love to be the most comfortable bangle I have. It works seamlessly with other items and I almost immediately can forget I am wearing it compared to some of my other solid bangles (Clou, VCA Clover, non-branded, etc.). I think most important of it all is that YOU find it comfortable (which you do) and that you are naturally drawn to it because you love it when you look at it on your wrist. It is a very lovely bangle, and I especially adore it in full pave, but sadly it isn't for me. The good thing is, not everyone has to love everything! That's the special part about jewelry - we go with what works for each of us. If you don't love something, you wont wear it. Go with your heart as it doesn't lie!

Agree with the others. It's really up to your preference and comfort. There are others who find the love bracelet uncomfortable to them and end up not wearing their loves and regretting their purchases.

I have a discontinued Tiffany bangle, that I still love and wear at least 1-2 a week (sometimes everyday, depends on my mood)

Having said that, it is the most basic and simplest form of a bangle, so that does make it quite timeless.

I have also tried on the lock and do not mind it. I appreciate the industrial and minimal design. (made a thread on it)

But I have not fallen for it either.

I do think it's probably because I already have 2 bangles that I'm not eager to go off and buy more. I'm also not a stacking type of person lol. (My watch and love bracelet on my left wrist feels heavy enough and the Tiffany bangle is worn on my right.)

Side note: My husband thinks that the love bracelet is the most basic and boring thing. (Not that I cared obviously, I went off and bought it for myself lol). He finds the lock more interesting and prefers the one with spaced out diamonds. In his opinion, it's the most balanced out of all the versions. (Though my husband thinks very differently, he finds CF, birkins, kellys to be old and boring to the point of being almost ugly. ) He's the kind of guy who does not like wearing what "everyone else" is wearing and prefers things that are more unique regardless of status, price, and popularity.

I agree with your husband 100%. I like what I like regardless of status or popularity. I often start to get bored with something once I see it repeatedly, so things that are too popular can start to look boring in my eyes. That's probably why I originally preferred the Tiffany bracelet to the Love in this case, because first of all, I never liked the Love, and secondly I hadn't seen the Tiffany before. But besides my objection to wearing anything that is supposed to mimic shackles, I can't unsee the shower curtain rings now that it was brought up above.

My sister has a lot of Cartier love pieces, while I have none. Personally, I don’t like love bracelets all that much, because they can’t be removed easily and the screws are notorious for needing to be tightened all the time. But I think it’s an aesthetic that is very clean and suits a lot of people.

My feelings for the lock bracelet are similar to the lock, in that I’m not the biggest fan of the industrial look. But it does seem a bit more whimsical for its inspiration, which I like — similar to the JUC. However, I really appreciate the built-in closure for the lock bracelet, which is so nicely engineered and seamless. Also, the two-tone lock with pave diamonds is stunning and offers great contrast. That’s probably the crowd favorite version, as well as my own. I also love the Arsham lock bracelet with tsavorites and diamonds. I would honestly consider it if the price point weren’t so prohibitive…

As a side note, I think the lock would stack very well with the JUC, because they’re both slightly asymmetrical and would complement each other’s negative space. If you wanted to buy the JUC in the future, I would suggest the lock. Personally, I don’t love it when someone just wears all pieces from one brand. I think it makes you look like a spokesperson for the company, or that you don’t actually appreciate jewelry design so much as corporate branding.

Anyway, the 4 diamond love bracelet does very little for me. I think the design looks a bit random in comparison to the plain gold bangle. I just don’t think the small diamonds add much to the overall design. At the same time, I also don’t think the diamond accents on the lock add much to the overall design, but at least the diamond placement looks a bit more intentional and strategized. Still, neither the diamond accent love or lock is a wow piece for me from either collection.

Overall, though, if I were you, I would choose the lock bracelet. It fits better, so it’ll be more comfortable, and the care is simpler since it can be removed. Alternatively, I would choose the plain love bangle and use the price difference to get something else, like a ring or something. Again, I just don’t find the 4 small diamonds on the love to offer any extra oomph compared to the plain version.

My overall ranking would be:
Diamond accent lock > diamond accent love > plain love > plain lock
