After much deliberation I decided to return both bracelets. They were a bit petite for my liking and while gorgeous, wearing them together was the only option for me which was actually quite uncomfortable. Having work done on the pieces just wasn't something I wanted to do at this point.
In any case, I got a beautiful piece with the money that was spent on those items from a different high end retailer and I'm very happy with my decision. Thank you to all who commented as your input was valued and very much appreciated.
