Tiffany Gold Key - Help me decide

I'm sorry to report but the 18K gold chain broke yesterday. Would you believe that???!!! It literally just fell off my body. I called Tiffany (since I don't live near a store) and they are telling me to send it in for "repair". That's ridiculous - they should just replace it - not repair it - especially since it's so new. They said someone from the Charlotte store (where I purchased it) would call but I haven't heard a thing. I'm shocked to say the least and very disappointed. I'm going to send it back today because I don't want to wait on the Charlotte store to call and I have a shipping label from them for it. If and whenever the store does call, I plan to express my disappointment - no piece of jewelry should break a week after purchase, especially from Tiffany.

I'm surprised they aren't just replacing the chain. Especially since you just bought it! I had the same thing happen to me with a sterling silver chain. It broke the first day I wore it! I called them up, explained what happened, and the representative that I spoke to was really apologetic. He told me he would just send me out a new chain. And he did! I didn't even have to send the broken one back! If you haven't sent the chain out yet, I would call Tiffany's back and see if you get a different representative. I'm sorry about your broken chain.

Sorry to hear about your chain, it's unacceptable for it to break after one week. Out of curiosity, is it the thin standard chain? If so, i do think it feels rather flimsy. I purchased one of those once but exchanged it for a thicker one cos i kept having a feeling the chain will snap at the slightest pull.

Perhaps u shd call them again & insist that they replace it.
