I have a Tiffany key that my ex got me for Valentines. I dont wear it because it reminds me of him but I wouldnt sell it. I like it too much.

Maybe you could give it to someone, like your sister or mom?

^^ well i tried selling but it is not selling well... opening bid at $1099 and still no bites.. i wore it the other day to see if i really liked it, but my current SO kept playing with it on my wrist, and then I felt all weird about it!!! lol. I think i will have to get rid of it one way or another! thanks ladies for all your opinions though!

I'd sell it!
I was given a beautiful diamond necklace of substantial weight by my ex and I really really loved it but just couldn't keep it, he wouldn't take it back so I was stuck with it for about 2 years!

It didn't really bother me when I was still single.. I'd wear it out and stuff but like you mentioned it was just too weird, esp when my current SO would comment on how pretty it is... I finally took it to a local italian jeweler with the appraisal certificate and got a pretty good price on it.. went and bought myself something nice with it so I'm happy

I have a similar issue with an elsa peretti open heart necklace. I wore it almost every day for four years during that relationship...I now can't even bring myself to look at it without getting emotional. I dont want to sell it on ebay because I know it will get hardly any money - but I am now thinking that I might have it melted into something else. Has anyone done something similar?
