Here is my 2.5mm channel set Tiffany wedding band with each of my three Tiffany rings (upgraded twice so I no longer have to first two). First is 1.33cts followed by 2.44cts and then 3.43cts. I think the 2.5mm is somehow perfectly balanced for all three sizes.

Oh my! The sparkle and cut of that last one is amazing!

Aww thanks everyone for the sweet comments. :hugs: But I totally didn't mean to hijack OP's thread. I just thought it was helpful to show that the 2.5mm band looks good with basically any size solitaire. I think its because the thickness matches pretty evenly with the thickness of the solitaire's knife edge band so they compliment each other without being too matchy matchy.

Also OP, next time you're in the store, ask to try on the bands with other solitaires from the case to give you an idea of how they each look with your current ring as well as any future rings. (Also a fun excuse to try on more diamonds!! :graucho:) Good luck deciding. Any of these options will truly be beautiful!

What a hard decision. I have the 3.9 mm tiffany channel set band as my wedding band. I got the 3mm shared prong afterwards and I use it sometimes instead of my channel set band. I posted them on a thread I started, if you want to look at the pictures.

Woohoo! I think this will help op greatly. Love the eye candy.

Thanks again for everyone's input. It really is so helpful. Still so torn, though. Ridiculous that I am obsessing over this, I know. I just don't want to have any regrets later on.

Acrowcounted: Gorgeous set!!! Thank you so much for posting pics for all of us to drool over. Much appreciated. it's nice to see that that thickness is so versatile with different size solitaires.

Decisions, decisions!

Here's a link to the 3mm shared prong ring with my 1.45 centre e-ring. There are also some pics of the 3mm and the 3.9 channel worn together, so you can see the difference in width....

I feel like the shared loos nice with the e-ring, and my channel band, since it's more substantial, looks great on its own.

neverenoughbags: Thanks so much for the input. I love your set! I think the 3mm looks fantastic with your ring, espec bc you have the tapered baguettes on either side of your RB stone (so it thickens the band of your engagement ring, which makes it look great with thicker wedding band).

Here is the link I think you meant to post (in case anyone else is interested, too)

So, after much deliberation, I think I am leaning towards the 2.2mm shared prong or the 2.5 mm channel set, as I think these thicknesses go well with the thickness of my engagement ring. (I did try some 2 ct solitaires on in the store, and the SA's both thought that even with that carat size, the 2.2mm shared prong complemented the ring better than the 3mm)

So, now it is shared prong vs channel set! Both nice, just slightly different looks. Does anyone have any recommendations between the two? Does anyone regret getting one and wish they got the other?

Thanks again! You ladies are so helpful!

acrowcounted your engagement ring is STUNNING!

I think the choice between channel set or shared prong just come down to personal choice?

:)

Gorgeous e-ring/band, Acrowcounted!
My thoughts on channel vs shared prong is this...channel setting can take more of a beating since the diamonds are slightly more protected. The shared prong will give you more sparkle (not as much metal) but be more delicate.

I have both the shared prong and the channel setting (small sizes). I also have the novo band, which I believe looks fantastic with the classic solitaire setting.

To wear next to your e-ring, as a wedding band, I prefer:
1° Shared prong
2° Novo band
3° Channel setting

Acrowcounted, your engagement ring is BREATHTAKING!!!!!!!! I nearly fainted!
