Tiffany Bean Necklace--- now have no markings/ hallmark on back of bean?

The 9mm rose gold bean that I purchased in November/December didn't have any markings, either. I thought it odd, as I purchased it directly from the Tiffany & Co. website. I'd expected to see the hallmark like the older & larger beans.
I called Tiffany today asking about the different beans. They told me the 20mm silver is being retired and once they sell their stock it will be gone. I also asked about hallmarking the back. I was asking about the 20mm gold. They said they stopped hallmarking the back about a year ago to be cost efficient. the only way to get the bean with the hallmarking is if a store has old stock.
That sucks about the no markings. I have the 9mm in yellow gold from years back and I have to admit I very much enjoy seeing the markings when I put it on or take it off.
I have the largest yg bean but i'd prefer it without markings. I like to wear mine with he non-concave side out and the markings bother me.
