Thoughts on this blue agate 5 motif?

I’ve been wanting a 5 motif for quite a while. I feel like that’s usually one of the first VCA pieces though I seem to do things in reverse, as I already have a nice collection.

I’ve been eyeing the blue agate and holding out for the perfect shade of blue. I saw one with a deep blue shade that I didn’t get and have since felt it was the one that got away. Yesterday I came across one that I really liked. This one looks vibrant to me and all the motifs look consistent. I’m thinking of going for it but not sure if I should hold out for another hue. What does everyone here think of this one against my skin tone?

I personally prefer the 3rd one as it looks the closest to the model photos on their website, but sounds like you prefer a deeper shade of blue? The one you picked out looks pretty on you, if you really like it you should go for it!

I would say to trust how you feel seeing the pieces in person, as blue agate is so difficult to photograph true to life. Your modelling photo looks beautiful!

Thank you! Just to clarify I meant the one on top in the pic that compares it to others. The one where it’s on my wrist is the same bracelet in both pictures.

Thank you! It’s so hard to really get a sense of it even in person under the VCA lights. I was walking around the store trying to see it from different lighting.

Thanks! I definitely prefer a deeper shade than what’s on the website. I thought I wanted darker but I like the vibrancy in this one!

It’s definitely vibrant & I’m sure it looks even better in person. I’ve seen some really dull looking blue agate but your SA offered you some really good ones to choose from

I can see that! Hermes makes the best blues, so I really love this comparison.

What I’m afraid of is choosing this one and then seeing a blue agate in the future in a darker shade and second guessing this one.

Motif - and would like a dark one in the future - after I secure a magic vendome pendant first ! Would like lapis something but that’s probably close to impossible !

How much darker than this do they get? The SA said this is the darkest he‘d seen but that doesn’t seem correct to me.

The piece you tried on is really lovely. Based on your photos, I think agate can get a little darker.

The one around the wrist bone is the darkest shade and against my skin, has the most pop.



When worn, it can take on the shade of lapis blue.

The one on your wrist bone is the type of shade I was looking for. The one I tried looks like the one all the way to the left in your photo. That said, I tried it and really liked how it looked. I just don’t want to get it, only to see another deeper shade of blue sometime in the future and feel bad for not holding out.

This blue looks like a fun happy shade though. My son whose favorite color is blue said I should get it and wear it forever without taking it off like with my love bracelet. I love that it adds a nice pop of color since my other bracelets are all gold. Then again if it were only a little darker……………
