Ultimately, for me, the designer matters less than how much I like the bag and the prices that I can afford. I think it's great to support smaller designers.

That's a beautiful beautiful bag! I love independent designers and the idea that my money goes to those who create the bag, not a long line of suppliers, middle men, and execs. Plus, the beauty and craftsmanship are there.
Can these bags you all mentioned, especially OP's be seen online?
you can find Julia Duren bags online at www.juliaduren.com. Her bags used to be carried in Nordstroms but I haven't seen them there for a while.
Definitely not! I love, buy and wear branded bags. But I also have two bags by independent designers and I'd never give them up.So I guess I shouldn't feel bad for wearing a brand that nobody's ever heard of....lol?
I love the bag & most importantly, it was affordable.......![]()

Definitely not!
Honestly, I think what matters most is whether YOU like what you're wearing or buying. The design and material also plays a major role. The other day, I just bought myself this bag from an online marketplace called Alice Is Back or something.. They have a collection of independent labels so I decided to give X Nihilo a try (i highly doubt anyone here has heard of them either!) but seriously... the bag is SO gorgeous. The free international shipping came in handy!
