I'd say go for it... it's a cute bag... but on the other hand, being cut off until Christmas is a looooong time. It's only mid-March! lol

I am not sure I have that kind of restraint... esp. reading this forum!!! I used to be OK buying one bag every 6mos - 1 year... but uhhhh now, I want them ALL! lol

I mean.. even if it goes for $1000.00.. it's still 80% off the original price!
It's a total collectors item.. aaaand.. if you compare it to a Miranda or a regular Lily.. it's around the same price.. and you would be getting sooo much more for your money. And, besides that it's tdf! :love:

It would go with black.. or brown.. or white.. or anything at all.. I'm in love.

I've vowed not to buy any bags.. or anything really on credit that I can't pay off when the bill comes or I would totally be all over it.

Is it dirty?? I didn't read the listing carefully. I did want to say that I was recently in the Coach store looking at the catalog, and I believe the current prices for the ostich Lily bags are $6 or $7k, not $5k...so maybe they have gone up in price with the addition of the new colors. Just knowing how Ebay typically works, I believe this bag may be specialized enough (odd color and skin, and therefore harder to sell on Ebay at near the retail price), so you may be able to get it for around $1k... which is a steal!! I definitely would not pay $5k or over because I think that is WAY too expensive.... However, if I wanted to spend $1500 right now, I would bid up to that amount for sure!! I think it's a beautiful bag, and you will definitely NOT see this on every other arm in town!!

Really Taralindsey, I think you should definitely go for it... if you really want it and have the money!! Bags like this don't come on Ebay often!! Maybe you can sell some bags or other things on Ebay to recoup some of the money spent here?? I do that sometimes when I spend way too much!

The seller says that her bronzer has discolored the inside..

"[FONT=Arial, Helvetica, sans-serif]My bronzer has slightly soiled the inside of both zippered compartments of the legacy silk"

she also says that the handles have some wear and that the corners have wear.....

I would never consider buying a $5000 + bag, but if it does go for around $1000 to $1500 I would. I really like the idea of having a limited bag.. and it's pretty, and a lily!! I have thing for blue bags.. I have a pond legacy.. a turquoise ergo, pond patent ergo. The grayish blue of this bag is TDF! The seller does tell someone that she has 34 watchers already and that was with 5 days left so we'll see.. it could go for way more than I am willing to pay.

And I have quite a few bags that get little use that I could unload!!

Well, I wouldn't worry so much about the inside of the bag, and to be honest with you, the outside has a distressed nature to it anyway because of the texture of the ostrich skin and dye...so unless the outside wear is bad, you probably won't notice it so much! The straight Vachetta Legacy bags also show wear around the edges very easily...I think it adds character to the bag (in most cases). Is it possible to condition ostrich?? I don't own one, so I'm not sure...

I also like the unusual and limited bags. The blues are SO pretty!! This one sounds perfect for you, so I will keep my fingers crossed that she emails back with photos!

WOW...that many watchers?? Well, I have to admit one of them is me, and I have no intention of bidding (and also admit I hate it when people watch my auctions and don't bid, lol, but I couldn't help it!). Probably a lot of people that are watching won't bid. It did not meet the reserve last time I know. Think positive and good luck!! Keep us updated!!

I'm really interested to see how much this bag sells for. It looks like someone wanted to "buy it now" for $850 and she declined that email offer.

I wonder how much the bag is really worth now even with the bronzer/wear that it already shows.

Aww it's OK - you're right, it's probably for the best. I put it on my watch list b/c I was so interested to see what it would sell for because it's so pretty.

yay for new cars!!!
