When I spend a lot of money on a bag I tend to pick practical styles and colors that are likely to remain current and useful for a long time, and that will probably hold up well to wear over time.
So I tend to pass by some bags that are more "fun or delicate" unless I really like the bag and find it at a good price; then I can relax and enjoy the bag and not worry about practicality or wear and damage.
When this line of bags came out about 5 years ago I thought that they were beautiful and expensive; and that this specific bag was fun, gorgeous, and impractical - so I passed it by at the boutique and again later at the outlet, where it was still pricey at 50% off.
So I was very surprised when I chanced upon this bag recently on ebay it good condition at a low price. I kept thinking that there "had to be a catch" so I cautiously made a modest offer and was surprised that I got the bag for only $42, because it originally retailed for $700!
When I received the bag I was thrilled that it was in better condition than expected and delighted when @BeenBurned graciously confirmed that it was authentic. The exterior of the bag was a little grubby from handling and the leather was a bit wrinkled but it was very easy to clean it up. I just wiped it down with Dawn dish soap and water, steamed it in the shower to remove the wrinkles, and applied some leather conditioner. That's all it took and now the bag looks almost new IMO!
I know that this is a tough one because it is an older style, but any guesses as to which bag I found at such a great deal?
