u have very beautiful choices here! i luv trinity ring and Aria pendant. ring u would see all the time and admire it and your achievements! pendant - while u cannot see, u would feel it. i have it in aquamarine and it sparkles sooo much!!! can u do both? :-) i luv recycling and buying second hand, but i know its not an option for everyone. :-)

Congratulations on all your achievements!

My personal favorite is George Jenson! I don't own any of the jewelry but I do have a lot of his 'home' stuff.. Candle holders, etc. it is really beautiful and unique! Whenever I'm in Norway, I always buy something of his.
Now I'm drooling over his jewelry!

Yes, if only! To be honest, that's like engagement diamond prices for me! I do love the design though. I was considering having an old family ring reset into something similar, but decided to keep it as is.

Not at all. I've had it for 2 years and have only not worn it a few of those days. I am always tugging it and out of habit pushing it towards my hand and it is still as tight as the first time I wore it. I don't know if the wider Somerset rings are actual rings attached together to look like mesh (which is what I think) but the one I have isn't actual tiny rings, just made to look like it. I believe the all the designs with diamonds are 'simulated' mesh for a lack of better words so there is no way they can change size.

Oh okay, I have never tried it on so I had no idea! That's such good information, thanks a million.

I kinda dig that Georg Jenson stuff.

Me too. My [Danish] grandmother's engagement ring is GJ and it's so beautiful. I will have to try one on...I'm afraid the ones that are three and come apart would be too chunky to type comfortably in. Not sure about the fused one.

I've always loved the Cartier trinity ring...always a fav

Yes, I'm kind of leaning toward this one at the moment!

I love it, too! Shame it's 10x my price range. I just need to finish my PhD and win the lottery at the same time

i was watching
http://www.ebay.com.au/itm/281035044308?ssPageName=STRK:MESINDXX:IT&_trksid=p3984.m1436.l2649 which is sold for $2695US but there is another one for $2000US http://www.ebay.com/itm/TIFFANY-CO-...19569?pt=US_Fine_Earrings&hash=item56518c0a11 which would need to be authenticated if u like it. :-) can u tell i am a tiffany aria addict??? :-)

Hahah those are so nice! I love buying secondhand or discounted jewellery, but I'm not brave enough to buy earrings. Do you trust getting earrings from someone else? I'm not sure I could ever disinfect them enough!

Congratulations on all your achievements!

Thank you for your 'vote' hehe! I've never seen his home stuff. Uh oh, looks like we may have swapped addictions!

My vote goes to the Georg Jensen pieces - either one of them. The rest of the choices are kinda' mundane, but Georg's designs are unique and very interesting.

Aw, I didn't think the rest were mundane. I'm just trying to pick something that I could wear every day for quite a few years of my life, so they have to be kind of simple and not too trendy. I agree though, his stuff his the funkiest option ;)

I vote Tiffany & Co Aria pendant or DBTY

Thanks! Do you think one or the other is nicer? I already have a SS DBTY....

I like the Georg Jenson pendant, personally. What about a Cartier trinity necklace? Do you prefer necklaces or rings?

Congrats on your PhD!!!

I wear necklaces more often, but the nice thing about a ring is that I get to stare at it myself :roflmfao: The Cartier trinity necklaces are beautiful, but the ones in my price range don't have a bail, which makes me anxious about getting loads of scratches all the time. The ones with the bails (in diamonds) are stunning, but a bit out of my reach for this occasion.
