thin or wide bands on e-rings trends?

I personally don't think halos are classic whatsoever. Solitaires? Yes.

And as far as pave is concerned, it's a way of getting as much "diamond" mileage as possible I don't know if I'd call it classic, but to me, it looks "vintage-y"

But I do love the way pave looks across the finger

I have a thin Micropave band, I am using that as a wedding band right now. I have small hands and always will want thin bands. I sold my unused DY rings because the shank was way too large. I think what ever looks good on your finger, I want to stack a few and I prefer thin bands, if I had long thin fingers I would maybe get a chunkier ring.

If my hands get really thin and boney later in life , I will probally get a larger band to balance them out.

personally i think that its less about 'trends' and more about the fact that we have more options now ... i thought i was a solitare girl but it wasnt 'me' ... nothing to do with trends ... my halo with a thin band is more my style ...

I just went wedding band shopping and was reminded why shopping at Tiffany is just easy... Every independent jewelry store we went to didn't have platinum bands for women!

Every store ONLY offered diamond bands, most of them thin. I for sure want a simple platinum band for the gym and daily use (and either a thin eternity now OR a more substantial eternity band for an anniversary). I definitely think the thin microwave bands are a trend and will "date" when the rings were purchased, but it's still a pretty look.

I actually like the look of metal, especially on a knife edge. I think it's nice to have the combination of sparkly diamonds and the gleam from metal... I didn't like being looked at like I have a 2nd head because I want something more modern!

My engagement ring is a princess cut solitaire set on a Ritani platinum Micropave band. I love the ring and think it is very classic and not at all trendy. It might be true that in a few years or more people will move on to another style or metal. I guess this happens every decade or so. When I bought my ring I was guided by my taste and style as opposed to trends; although I admit it is hard not to be somewhat swayed by what is popular at the moment. However, this is a ring that I am confident will still look classic and beautiful when I am 90 years old and wrinkly!
