Thin love vs Regular love

Hi Cartier fans! I need some opinions... I can either get a thin rose gold love with 4 diamonds new or the regular thicker white gold love 4 diamonds used.

I keep going back and forth between them. If you have either of these how do they wear over the years? I’ve seen a lot of people say the white gold shows scratches more and tends to look more dull? but I’ve also read that the thinner one maybe doesn’t feel as secure as it has a little gap when closed?

help please! Thank you!!!

I would always go for new. Although I don’t own the thin love, I have the regular love yg four diamond and I love it so much. I also have the regular love in wg and just purchased pg (on its way). The thin love is just as beautiful

I would go for the new one. I have the thin one in WG and it feels secure and comfortable. If I would buy another thin, it would be the RG with 4 diamonds, but I have my eyes on the JUC regular size next. Anyhow, if you think you still would want the regular size LOVE more, consider to save up for it, because buying new feels a lot safer/better imo. Can´t go wrong with any Cartier LOVE! Enjoy whatever you choose!

It's really down to your personal preference. The white gold Love with diamonds is rhodium plated to give it that shiny white appearance, but over time this plating will wear off and unplated white gold has a slight yellow tint. If a new rose gold thin Love is a similar price to a preloved white gold regular Love, the latter is clearly better value for money.

Go for the thin. I have both the gold and platinum thin pave. I wear them together and sometimes separately.

Truth is my wrist bone is very small so the regular love looks too bulky on me. This is a dainty piece but very secure. I take it off every night before bed. I love how discrete and elegant it is. With a thin you can stack it with anything and it won't look bulky.IMG_3372.jpeg

I thought I wanted th thin till I tried it on. I ended up getting the reg and have absolutely no regrets. I like the weigh and the way it looks on my wrist compared to the thin but it’s all personal preferences.

I have a white gold and diamond Love I've worn since 2006. While the rhodium is less brilliant than it once was, it hasn’t worn off and there’s no hint of yellow gold underneath.

Agreed. I have the thin pave, because I wanted a pave one but can't afford the regular sized one yet LOL. The regular thin loves don't do much for me. I prefer the weight and presence of the regular sized Loves. But I have seen the thin loves look nice on people with small wrists, but for me the regular size is my preference for the rest of my stack.

I prefer the regular sized love although if it was used I might consider the thin love. I have the diamond white gold love and like others have said, it is rhodium plated so it is brighter than the regular white gold without diamonds.

If you can only get one of them and you want to get it now with the available budget, I would say get the thin Love. The scratches on the bracelet should show your own history IMHO. It depends on your frame whether the thin or regular one looks better on you. Attached a photo of me trying in the thin Love in store and got it at the same visit! It looks great alone or stacked.

I have the thin love in yg and I love it! It’s personal preference and depends on your wrist size. I have a very dainty wrist and the regular love didn’t look good on me but the thin one looks beautiful. I pair it with a very dainty diamond by the yard bracelet usually but it looks great alone. As for wear, I’ve had it for 2 years and it has almost no scratches and looks brand new. The fact that you can remove it easily helps (I take mine off every night and I don’t wear it when I’m working out and stuff). Hope this helps!

Thank you all for the replies. The hubby and I went to the store today to try both sizes and agreed on the thin love with diamonds. He (as others here have said) stated that the thin will look good stacked if/when we decide to get another... sounds like he’s already on-board for another purchase in the future Here’s a picture of my purchase as well as something I tried on just for fun!
