I know its Krylon spray paint. I'll look tomorrow & take a photo. I used it on my Tabby Top handle hardware & it wears nicely. Best application is to spray but with this small of an area, I'll likely sponge apply it.

Just a follow up. These are the paints I used on my tabby hardware change. I sprayed with the metallic bronze & the a quick shot of black to darken.
With the Cassie hardware, I'll likely need to spray liberal amounts of both on a surface, mix & apply with a painting sponge. I'll definitely let you know how it goes! I don't expect to get the bag until later this week.

Thank you for sharing your process. Do you think it is easy enough for someone who has never done it (the dying of the bag and the changing hardware colors)?

Quick answer is no. Only easy if you are ok with imperfections. I'm super happy with the Cassie in my avatar. It turned out better than I could have hoped. My most recent all black redo, not so much. I'm super critical & although it looks good in pictures & those who aren't familiar with the bag would never notice, it just didn't come out as good as I had hoped & I don't know why. As for the hardware, I've only done the tabby. Happier with the parts I could spray more than the parts I had to do by hand.
This time, I'm going to be super patient (hard for me) & take my time. I'm even going to try & buff the hardware first to get better adhesion. Obviously protecting the areas around where the work will be done is key (I use blue painter's tape).
It's best you initially work on bags that don't require a huge overhaul. Be super patient, take time between coats, etc. Its trial & error. I've only ever done on bags I got for a steal or was going to rehome.
Sorry for being so long winded. Hope it helps. Feel free to PM me if you have any other questions!

This is why I decided to keep the gold on my navy Cassie, lol. I have a feeling I would start it and then wish I had left it alone. I know exactly what you are saying. It is about doing the things you feel a comfort level with doing them and how they might turn out.

Agree! I will say that I think changing the hardware color on the Cassies that have the C turnlock, in my opinion, would be much more difficult than the ones that have the regular turnlock that the signature bags have.
