There is something about Cassie...

I have a question for the Cassie owners. How well does the purse stand up to moderate use ? I'm asking because I noticed that my pebbled "Park" is sorely lacking in resilience. I do not know if this is due to "China" leather or "Pebbled" leather. The Park is the only pebbled leather purse I own, all my others are smooth.
I have been using my black coach Cassie daily for about 2 years for a work bag bc it's contemporary and not too designer. it's held up so well. Now that I learned it's discontinued in regular size, I have started to use a few other bags for work so my Cassie can last many more years but honestly the wear is super minimal and its just softened on the front pocket from putting my phone there. the structure of the sides is perfect, the corners are not rubbed. All that to say its a very durable bag in my opinion.

Managed to grab a Restored Black Cassie ( full size) crossbody from the Coach website...it just popped up today! I had a bad experience with a Upcrafted one last time, so hopefully this one comes in good condition.

you will love it. I didn't realize how much I would like it until I put it to use. I had the black lv pochette Metis and I prefer the Cassie.

I have never had the LVPM and I probably never will but I'm curious why you prefer the Cassie? I imagine the PM is stiff due to the material used?
I would say at todays price point for Metis, and the lv low quality there would be no reason to buy it. The Metis isnt too stiff, it softens a lot with use as well. I have had a few empreiente bags from lv and they all do soften up. But the front clasp on the Metis is super annoying to use, it has to be closed just so to get it to close and its difficult to pop back open. its just fussy. it tarnishes very quickly or I should say the gold rubs off it doesn't tarnish bc it's not brass, it's metal painted gold. The Cassie clasp is so much easier and convenient and looks new like the day I bought it. The Metis also suffers cracking on the flap when were it connects to the back of the bag but it cracked worse than Cassie has. Also the size is just slightly larger on Metis than the Cassie and for some reason the Cassie just looks less boxy when wearing it. I just feel like in about a year the Metis looked rather shabby and the Cassie looks nearly new. I have a large bag collection and rotate often, so the Metis wasn't over used and the Cassie is used daily for work and still looked better.

Yes, I absolutely love these bags too! So sad they were discontinued...:crybaby:Im very late to the Cassie ...just discovered them last month...so I've missed out. So, had to resort to the preloved market. I only have 2 so far, but including this one also 2 on the way. I think these might be my favorite bag styles! Just wished Coach will re-release these Cassies again...the 19 is too small for me.

Wow! Thank you for sharing! I had not idea that clasp was that annoying. We really should send emails to coach asking them to bring back Cassie! I have 4 currently but due to my huge collection of bags they also don't get used daily. I still get tempted to buy more.

Thank you so much for your reply. The Cassie is the only or one of very few recent coach bags that actually appeal to me. I will keep my eyes peeled for a color I like. I was unlucky enough to hang out at a waiting room about a week ago and spotted my first in-the-wild Coach bag. I saw it because it was inscribed in HUGE letters COACH NEW YORk; truly a bag I would not take if it was given to me. :hrmm: What a change from the refined bags which are vintage.

I am not either (too square) but love the black plain denim with silver hardware. It is sold on Amazon by Amazon but shipping takes weeks (I am a Prime member) so it makes me wonder where it is coming from :confused1:
It's availability on Amazon just changed to 2-day delivery (for Prime members). I ordered this & the Tabby 26 in black denim. We'll see if either are keepers.
