Hey everyone! I just received a red Gucci bag that I ordered from Gucci website, cos there's no Gucci store in Finland. I noticed a scratch on top of the bag, how do you think Gucci will handle the exchange? Should I have any problems with this or will they blame me? Has any one of you had similar experience?

Hi! I don't see the scratch, would you mind pointing it out where I should be looking. I am so distracted by the gorgeous red lol

To be honest, if it bothers you a lot, I would return it and I don't think they would blame you for it. Just tell them exactly what happened. If the scratch is not very deep or noticeable, I would let it go, considering it is such a hassle to send things back (just my opinion). I notice Gucci leathers age really well, I have a Gucci wallet and occasionally some scratches will show up, but after a week or two of use, the scratches are all gone. It kind of buffs itself out... the leather is super durable and easy to take of. The Gucci soho leather will get softer as u use it more too.. good luck!! Let us know if you end up sending it back or not

The scratch is in the middle right under the zipper, I guess the photo doesn't show it well :/ I was also mesmerized about the color and was so excited about the bag that i wanted to share it here, but when I turned the lights on to get a good photo, I noticed the scratch. Even my husband saw it, and he's not one to notice things if you know what I mean :biggrin: and by the way this is a Soho Disco bag that I've been lusting over for years! (I meant to write the model of the bag up there but accidentally wrote 'Gucci' twice)

Anyways, I just emailes Gucci asking how I should handle the exchange when there is a slight scratch there. We'll see what their reply is.

I did return it, in order to get a new bag in exchange. I can see that they have got the bag I sent, but I have no idea how long it will take for me to get a new bag. I have sent them a couple emails asking about it, they replied asking the tracking code. I gave it to them, but since then nobody has replied.... let's hope it all turns out well...

Good! Was it sent via usps? If so, you can track thru newgistics website. If it's parcel post once it's scanned by the post office it goes to newgistics and they take over. Sometimes, it can take up to three weeks, they are so slow. Newgistics website will give you the current location though. Let me know, I can help you too!

Yes, I sent it back with UPS express and when I look at the tracking code on ups website, I can see that they have received the bag 18th of july. I still haven't heard anything back from them and I don't understand why they don't reply to emails! I don't like that at the moment I don't have my money OR the bag. Do you have any idea how long exchanges take with them?

If it was with USPS you could track with newgistics but since it's ups and shows delivered now you have to wait 7-14 days from delivery date until they process your return. Who did you buy it from? If it's Nordstrom they will help more then other places like Neiman Marcus would.

I bought it from gucci.com. But this helps a lot, so I have to wait about 7 more days for them to process it. If nothing has happened until then, then I dont know what to do, cos obviously they dont reply to emails :shocked:

Call Gucci customer service and try again and then if they don't help ask what there return policy is for return processing time. If still no help, ask to speak with their manager. Then, I'd order from Nordstrom instead of Gucci.com. I'm sorry this is happening to you, I've had this happens so many times too.

There's no phone number in gucci finland website to call to :oh: only email.... It says on their page that it will take 14 days to process returns from the day you made the notification of returning. It says nothing about exchanging process though... we'll see if it's the same 14 days. Then I'd still have to wait 7 days to get any info of getting a new bag as replacement. Thank you so much for sharing your thoughts with me :smile: let's hope all this turns out well. Next time I'll be sure to order a Gucci bag from Selfridges or so...
 
Hi, thank you for sharing your experience. I had to return my black soho disco for leather issues as well and same story... No respond on emails ( I'm from Finland too) and UPS tracking shows that they have received my bag. Love that red one
