I'm a lover of aged calfskin leather. I loved how it looks and how it feels and the leather is really durable. I feel it is easier to maintain than the the caviar leather.
My first Chanel was caviar mini then got a Gabrielle bag in aged calfskin and after that I became a real lover of aged calfskin . I don't have a lambskin but people say it is delicate compared to the caviar.
And for me , I use the WOC much more than the Mini , as the mini is heavier and boxy plus it doesn't hold much more than the WOC.

I used it it heavily in my last trip and it held well..
And another great thing about the 2.55 ( reissue) bag is that it is not obvious that it is Chanel bag so you can wear it freely everywhere.
I wouldn't personally though it in a tote and if I will I will put it in a dust bag before I through it in a larger bag / tote.

With the new WOC price increase in place and the fact that the snap closure will probably not sell anywhere close to retail, it just sounds like buying the new WOC to "upgrade" is just spending a lot of money for something nobody can see except for the user.

Thank you for your comment! I really think the aged calfskin looks great too. I gives me sort of a being in between caviar and lambskin feeling... which is great because I really love the look and feel of lambskin but I am always so afraid of scratches and so on... but when I choose Caviar I feel that is is the second best because actually I think that the lambskin is what I would prefer - because of the buttery feel and the looks. The aged calfskin is neither caviar nor lambskin so I didn't need to decide which one with this item ;-)

I also like the thought that is is not really that obvious that it is a Chanel bag (if you do not know these bags well) and that it could therefore be used more freely everywhere. Thank you for the input on that issue. I hadn't really thought about that one, but now that you mentioned it I totally agree and this suits me very well even though I normally love the classic CC logo. But it is nice to have an item that is different. I also like the safe and secure feeling I get from the turnlock (instead of a snap lock). And my hope is that this WOC could be worn with "everything" since it is all black... not gold nor silver...

Yeah I think so too...the snap one wouldn’t be sold in good price anymore. The new magnet closure is attractive though, feels too much work to sell and buy.
How much is classic WOC increased today by the way?

the 19B woc the strap length is lil bit shorter compared to 17b woc

Yes, i do. I dont think its worth to get new magnet version in exact same combo tho.if u decide to purchase the magnetic WOC, i suggest to sell the old version. Since i get the new one i been using it only lol. I got it because of the magnetic closure, it is so convenient to open n close. Like care free whenever u need to close your woc you dont hav to to look at your woc to close ( like the snap closure one) The only minus is about the strap, i personally like long strap on me ( im 5’6 ) but if you 5’2 or 5’4 the strap is perfect tho. overall its good, im happy with the new one, i got it for $2450 tho. Which is a good deal (;
