Spotted everywhere during the 80’s, but extinct by the 90’s due to extreme minimalism (I wonder why...).
We have grunge (plaid shirts) and Versace to thank for the survival of colors other than black and pastels (gladly the 80’s ‘all fabric samples & kitchen sink’ trend haven’t come back to haunt to us yet).

I had a bag very similar incorporating jewel tones.....in 1986. I loved that bag.
I bought a belt made of leather patches like this but in browns and black (and not during the 80’s lol). It was an interesting belt, but I never ended up wearing it because I don’t have anything that goes up to my natural waist.
Just the fact that there is a bag that cant be described any other way, forcing us to use the words ball sac....
