I have been loving everyone's Swagger reveals the last few months and couldn't wait to get to my Coach Store and try on my dream Swagger, the Nude and Black Colorblock Carryall. I finally had a chance to get to the Coach store today and got so excited when I saw her on the shelf waiting for me, that I knocked down the other two sizes next to her. As I'm picking them up I'm noticing the weight of the bags and these were the two smaller 27 Colorblock bags. Finally I picked up this beautiful Swagger and sadly realized that empty it was the same weight as f the very filled up Neverfull that I had on my other arm.

I'm so sad, I haven't gotten this bag out of my mind but I don't know if the weight will do me in. Do you hand carry your Swagger or do you wear it as a shoulder bag? Do you find the weight bothering you? Do you have the 27 or the Carryall? If you have the 27 does it hold your essentials? Would love to hear your thoughts on this beautiful new bag. I hate to think I'm a wimp and nobody else finds it heavy lol.

Thank you for your feedback. :ty:

I stopped at the FP the other day and that was my first thought, this bag is heavy. It's the buckle. I love the two tone brown one but because of the weight, I won't be getting it. Sorry it didn't work out for you.

As beautiful as a bag is, if you find it to heavy you won't wear it in the end. I finally just sold off and gave away the last of my bags that I adored but never wore due to their weight.

I feel your pain. I agree, the Nude and Black Swagger is beautiful but the weight feels like it has four hard cover books in it before you even put your contents in. It's such a shame because it is such good quality and sharp looking.

I know, it's all that hardware and sadly that's what makes it such a beautiful bag. The two tone brown is beautiful too, very unique color combination.

I understand what you're saying. I just bought mine yesterday and I don't usually carry heavy bags because I throw so much stuff in my bags. However the fact that there's a cross body strap or the option of holding it my hand or the crook of my arm made it more appealing. I bout the ginger color lock one and love it! Hth!

Yes, exactly, it did feel like it had a load of books in it empty, lol, and I like to carry my entire life with me. I am Hoping to see this beautiful color combination come out in another style that has a lot less hardware and be as beautiful.

I'm glad you posted this. Two years ago I bought a couple of bags that got a lot of excitement here on the forum. They were gorgeous but too heavy for me. I've never regretted returning them. For me, if a bag is heavy in my hand, wearing crossbody is going to feel even heavier. My shoulder can't handle all that concentrated weight and for some reason, the longer the strap, the heavier it feels.

I have had to return a few bags that I loved the look of but could not handle the weight, just not fun to carry if the bag hurts your shoulder or is just too heavy.. Usually because of the hardware .
I have looked at the swaggers but have not purchased one due to heaviness and nothing else in FP now catches my eye at the moment . Oh well...

I could have written this post! Adore the Swagger, as with some older Coach bags (anyone remember the Miranda bag?) but I just cannot pull off a bag that heavy. It breaks my heart but I it is better than breaking my shoulder!

I am going to try this bag IRL this week because I will be near a Macy's that will have them although I can't buy anything. I want to test the weight. Some of my friends have told me that Coach bags are frequently too heavy for them, and this comment goes back about 20 years. I know I thought the Grammercy was heavy.

Oh dear, the swagger 37 is much heavier than Gramercy bag. The med swagger...I bet that is still heavier. Maybe I'll go see for myself tomorrow. I never thought of comparing these two weight wise.

I have the Swagger in the wild beast print. I must admit, it is heavy. However, all the compliments I've gotten on it outweigh the heaviness of it. Lol. Although, the couple of times I've had to carry it cross body, my shoulder has killed me when I got home!!
