I will, thank you!

I should have said "had" as I sold my tempete. It just didnt do it for me. I think it was too black to be grey, and too grey to be black.. if that makes sense. I am a little obsessive possibly haha. I am hoping that this ashpalte will be grey enough to be grey, but not too light.

That absolutely makes sense to me. Asphalte is definitely more grey and less black while still being dark. Please let us know what you decide.

Has anyone had the shoulder pads from their moto removed? My jacket feels too tight in the shoulders (so sad..) and I'm looking for a way to make it more comfortable.

Any tips, thoughts, experience would be much appreciated. Thanks!

Do you think it will stretch out to a better fit with wear?
Originally i purchased a size36 but I thought it was too tight in the shoulders and ended up getting 3 size 38s only to find them too big for me....

I was hoping it would, but it hasn't yet--granted I've probably only worn the jackets 4-5 times. I got a 36 (purchased online) but wish I had gone with a 38 instead.

Perhaps I should start wearing it around the house over a sweatshirt... Like how Louboutin fans break their heels in by wearing them over socks!

Here's a pic. My husband agrees that the shoulder fit is "borderline" -- looks a little tight, but not HORRIBLE. You can see my shoulders popping into the sleeve area in this photo. It just feels very tight. I know my arms aren't fat by any means, but they *feel* that way when I wear the jacket, since it's constricting :(

I think the jacket looks fab on u, not too small at all, and there looks to be space in the arms (not squashed in at all). Great idea to wear it around the house.

Trouble is if u don't feel comfortable it doesn't really matter what anyone else tells u it looks like.

Have u got a picture of the back ?

Thanks-it def feels a little tight in the armhole/shoulders... Not terrible terrible, but I'd prefer looser. The extra 1-2 cm from removing Shoulder pads would probably make it so much more comfortable!

I'll take some pics of the back later today for you :)

I could recommend an expert tailor in New York for alterations I had sleeves shortened and shoulder taken in on one jacket was too big.

Let me know if you want his contact info he was recommended by Balenciaga NY

JDN:Bad news for us, not really much jackets in size34 around for us...Okay, for the classic one i will not take 34, only in the quilted. You know i always have a problem if i see that i can not close the jacket some inches. Some news about Sebastien???

Justpeachy:I know what you mean , in this season jackets the shoulders are smaller than in the older one.I am not sure who it was, but there also was a lady here, with the same problem. The jacket looks great to me, not too small and you can put something thicker under it.But if you really feel not good, maybe you should sell it for getting a bigger size...

I once removed the shoulder pads of a coat myself because I thought I would prefer it without the shoulder pads. I was wrong, it messed up the whole cut and look of the coat so I quickly sewed them back in. I fear that the jacket's design requires the shoulder pads -- it may look odd with them removed.

I agree with Baerlie that perhaps sizing up would be a better option (sell and rebuy?). Could you try a size bigger before deciding whether to sell yours? I think the Bal online shop takes returns for a full refund.

The 36 looks great on you but I can see what you mean. The jacket will soften, the padding will compress. I'd say try wearing it around the house with a sweatshirt under for a bit and see if that makes enough of a difference.

yes, I can see what you mean about shoulders popping into the sleeve area and I agree with your husband about 'borderline' fit. I think you can try to wear the jacket around the house with thicker layer under, it should give a little.
I would rather sell it and buy one size bigger than mess up with the shoulder pads as you can ruin the style of the jacket and have trouble with reselling it.
