For those I promised modelling pics, this is a compromise as the proper modelling ones were too blurred. Here's a vintage Louis Feraud vermillion silk jacquard blouse and DlJA 21, a combo that I'm wearing tomorrow, and a close-up of the lovely peacock which is such a beautiful feature of the design (and of which there are not too many in English gardens that I know :D)

Thank you for the modeling pics. I bet this is smashing with your complexion and hair!

Thanks klynneann, the 'right' green scarves are not so easy to find at H

I have a strong connection to the subject matter, like only unusual (stylised) floral prints which this is, and I am a big Alice Shirley fan since her debut Zebra Peg last year but I too almost dismissed this 90 completely, as my immediate choice of the 'mustard' background didn't work for me, nor did any of the others I had tried. Even this cw took a while to come round to even though it's perfect for me 'on paper' in every way. My SA was in shock when I didn't first take it! At the suggestion of another tpfer I tried it again with an outfit most likely to work. Sooo glad I did. Sometimes trying things after work in my 'uniform' of navy and black is not the most conducive to feeling/looking great ;)

I think it's more the colors that do not speak to me than the print itself. It must be since I have it in the mousseline - those colors definitely speak to me more! There are times when I don't mind when things aren't their right color, but the blue, pink, etc. trees just didn't work for me. And I definitely understanding trying them on with the right outfit! Someone (I don't remember who) suggested wearing black or white and that's exactly what I did this past weekend - it was a very good suggestion. :smile1: I'm glad you found one in the right colors for you!

I have also posted this in the Ode to Mousselines thread, so I apologize to those seeing it twice. Urashima Taro in blue and cream!

Tah dah! Mai Tai's asymmetrical wrap came in very handy with my Narciso Rodriguez dress that's cut just a bit too low to be office appropriate.

Took four tries but I think I got it right!

:woohoo:

Thank you perfumegirl

Both dreamy, but funny how the different cw of the same design can give such different vibes, they are going to look so lovely this Summer
