Hi all,

I wanted to post mod shots of my CW 11 De la Mer. I never wear pastels and the Rose in this CW is making me wonder if I should keep it. I love the crisp white, blue, turquoise and black accents but I don't love the shade of rose. All the other color ways seem to have heavy amounts of orange accents which I'm not sure would suit me so I have a feeling this is the best CW for me. I love this design so much, I'm just not sure I will reach for it as often due to the rose. I wear mostly denim, black and white. Thanks for your thoughts!

I tried to take photos of each of the corners and I usually only wear cowboy style.

I really love this on you! But I love the pink accents...
I have been disappointed with the cws I have seen in this design so far at my boutique (on me) but this one and the one Carla got are 2 that I need to try on IRL....

I think it's a keeper dear.

Mrs JDS, this BB is radiant on you and will go with everything. Congratulations.

Pegase, I adore BF on you, the way this pattern ties is mysteriously beautiful. It is such an eye catcher and the blues are spring/summer like.

Carlinha, thanks for posting this stunning GM and the modeling pictures. Perfect for you and a perfect coloration for this pattern and your sunny location.

Hermesine, your FP GM is cheerful and lovely. I am smitten with the purples and potiron.

MrsOwen3, I think this suits you perfectly. It is gorgeous with your chambray shirt and its advantages have been pointed out (the pink softening the blues). I was just looking at 90 cm Cavaliers du Caucase again - in the all blue - and was thinking that it was a little to cool toned for me and that there should be another color thrown in the mix. That's the case with your De la mer.

Vigee, did you make it to the BH boutique to scope out colors? So interested in any review :)

I have to agree with everyone else, this looks sensational on you and works really well with denim and it will with black and/or white. The rose is still a 'clean' pink and looking at the cw, the last think I think of is pastel. I'm hoping that if you like the design enough you'll keep it.

OK quick modeling pic... I actually walked out of the store yesterday with the shawl on already :p temps had dropped and i was excited to use it!!

again here it is flat:
Flamingo Party 140 cm cashmere shawl CW09 blanc/vert/fuchsia

and here it is tied haphazardly in a cowboy knot... not the best, i threw it on quickly, but you get the idea :p this shawl reminds me of Ex Libris en Kimonos where each corner is different since it is an asymmetric design, and depending on how you tie it, it will look different each way. i love the fuchsia peeking out and framing my face

2 other random ways,
less fuchsia

more fuchsia

Bravo carlinha, I never doubted it would look less than perfect. How does it look with your Bambou K (I think you have one, forgive if not) have you tried it?

Hello Beautiful Enablers of Hermes Textiles!
I came home with some goodies, today! Two of Alice Shirley's Dans un Jardin Anglais rose vif/ vert/ mauve (06) and rouge/violet/turquoise (15). I also fell for Comme Hermes Rose/Bleu/Creme. (I also picked up an oldie but a goodie... Pique Fleuri de Provence in (07) capucine/framboise/turquoise. I didn't get any PFdP the first time it came out because I couldn't decide on a colorway. I won't post that one here since this is not from the current collection.) Thanks for letting me contribute!!! This is going to be an expensive spring. SO MANY ON MY WISH LIST.

Mimi! I am now twins with you on the mousseline! Thanks for enabling! When I saw your post, I knew right away I needed it! This is such a gorgeous piece, both in the mousseline and in the silk!!! :D

Triplets!! Thanks to encouragement from a lovely and very stylish tpfer, I came home with this beautiful mousseline today. I normally only get mousselines that are changeants, but this one caught my eye thanks to Mimi's photos and is even more amazing in person, so I just couldn't pass. I'm tempted to get the pink cw (rose vif, I think) that I tried on today as well, and I'm still waiting to see the Point d'Orgue mousselines. This will be a painful season for my wallet!

They all look fantastic on you! I'm still trying to decide on a cw for the 90cm Jardins Anglais..too many gorgeous colors!

So beautiful, Ladybaga!!!

Both beautiful choices!

The zest and magnificence is a wonderful match for you, beautiful Croisette

Congratulations on your new twillys  and pretty 70 that suits you so well

Lovely to see, I don't mind seeing the same designs and cws posted again and again. The blues are amazing, I'd love to see it on, I bet it's wonderful

Both of these shawls are phenomenal panthere55, so nice to see the blue colorway as well :smile1:

Loving everything Brandebourgs! Your K is TDF!

Love these, especially the blue! Congrats, dear!

Oh, I love the cw08. On the website it does look more pink. So to confirm what you are saying, the color of the steps is more pink in real life? It is looking more coral like in your post pictures as you said.

It is gorgeous in your pictures AND on the website.

Both are gorgeous, panthere, major congrats!

Thank you everyone! I will do some mod pics of cw08 at some point and post those. Beekmanhill, yes it's more pink than coral. It says pale rose as one of colors describing this cw and that kinda describes that.

MrsJDS, the navy BB is amazing on you! I purchased the white a few weeks ago but you are giving me second thoughts! I wish the store would have all colors at once! Is that asking too much, lol?
Hi Dharma - Thanks!!! I know what you mean!!! I was able to try on CWs 08 and 10 and chose CW 10. I absolutely loved the contrasts contained CW 08 but it looked a bit too washed out against my complexion. I was also hoping to try on the violet/red CW but it was not available. I've posted more mod pics of CW 10 in the Ode to CSGM thread.

I try to get different cw that will compliment eachother. The flamingo will be more pink and blue. That's why I choose the Millifleur in orange, black tones. I try to imagine what bag and clothes I will wear with the scarves. There are so many beautiful scarves but some are more difficult to pair with existing wardrobe.

Thank you for sharing your strategy, Nahreen. :hugs: I definitely have to start thinking more about what clothing I will pair my scarves with, rather than buying them just b/c they're so beautiful! Otherwise I'm going to also have to get a new wardrobe lol. :D

My wait is over ... and I think I'm the first to post this CW too so consider this my contribution to this awesome thread!!! :smile1:

Brandebourgs CW 10 (black/marine/gris)

Oooooh thank you for posting! I think this is calling my name!

Me too!!!! What cw are you thinking??? I need that green/white!!!!!!!!!!! Look at the little hearts on each corner

So beautiful and I cannot believe you saw those hearts!!!!!!

I have been avoiding this thread trying to resist temptation :sweatdrop: and also having a hard time as it is moving at lighting speed!

But I don't think there have been any Flamingo Party shawls posted yet?

My boutique got 2 in yesterday and 1 came home with me  it will make a lovely pairing with a few of my bags

Flamingo Party 140cm cashmere shawl
CW09 blanc/vert/fuchsia

Will post modeling pics soon...

The other colorway I saw I didn't get a chance to look at the number, but the border was a burnt sienna color, middle colors were tones of red and orange... Very "fall" feel to it...

Congratulations it's beautiful!!!!

here comes Flamingo Party cw05 Potiron/Mauve/Rouge ... pure love for me

Wow gorgeous!!!! I am interested in flamingo party as well...just waiting to see all cws in it!

You look wonderful in these!!

Thank you for the mod pic, Carlinha. It's absolutely me.

you're welcome croisette, i definitely see you wearing this shawl!!!

Ooohh!!! It is beautiful on you! Congrats again!

thank you again rainneday!

What a beautiful cw, you wear it so well. I thought of ExlenK, too, when I tried it... and a little bit Brazil due to the feathers. I´m still curious what the other cws look like.

thank you hermesine, yes me too, would love to see the other CWs!

Woohoo... Glad to inspire... But you are always the one that's an inspiration! :)

Wow!! Congrats!! The flamingos are beautiful and so prominent, which is perfect! :). I'll def need to see this IRL.. Love the greens in it. :)

Drool!! Gah! Ok, maybe I'll convince myself I don't need another Potiron shawl... But that Potiron and mauve together.

@Carlinha, I totally thought this one would call your name. But then again, you may have these shawl colors already. :)

You look amazing in it!! True blues. @chestnutty, is this calling your name?? Lol ;). MrsOwen, you look great in it and I think it'll be really easy to pair. But I totally get you... If there's the pink that is just NOT YOU, and it bugs you, you may not want to keep it. I remember the grey LdR shawl had some light beigey yellow in it that bothered me so it wasn't a "had to have". I passed on it. And the light pink in the grey MetM (Monsieur et Madame) shawl, I couldn't do it even though I loved the greys and leopard print. And I know another silkie who had to return MdC bc one color in the multitude of colors, bugged her to bits. Lol ;). Depends on if you can live with it or not. But I do think it looks amazing on you. :)

Fabo C!!!! But you always look fab!! Love the leopard dress too!! :)

thank you so much jp! i tried the other CW but for some reason it didn't speak to me, i think the potiron border was too tame for me :p

Carlina, this is GORGEOUS on you! Thanks so much for the modeling shots. I'm not sure I can resist this color way! I love the dark leaves with the contrasting flowers.

thank you MrsOwen! i love all the shades of green with the more pop bright colors!

Carlinha...your modeling pics of Flamingo absolutely sleigh me! I swear that you and Israeli_Flava are conspiring to flame my wallet this season. I can practically see the outfits I would wear this with come spring/summer!

awww LOL you're welcome HfromT, glad i could enable :graucho:

Thank you all, I don't feel the Rose is as prominent now that I'm looking at the pics!

That's my favorite corner as well, I love the sky and the clouds, I think this would be so great in the Spring with a crisp white shirt. I think I'm going to keep it! Thanks for your thoughts!

i am glad you are deciding to keep it! it really truly does look wonderful on you!!

:woot: ok now I'm in trouble.... this looks super stunning against black. Wow.... the greens are drawn out and that corner with the white flowers!!! :woot: Auuuuuuuugh AND the flamingos are PINK like I want! I  it!

Is the pink intense like RS????

LOL yes intense pink like RS! :p i really love this shawl... it's not like a fall in love at first sight like aPdP or the purple marwari where i laid eyes on them and instantaneously knew i needed them, this was more of a gradual love, the more i tried it on different ways and imagined it paired with my clothes, bags and shoes

Carlinha, you look beautiful in this shawl! I love it so much! Thank you for posting such great photos! I've been so disappointed that aPdP doesn't seem to be working for me but this is not a bad substitute at all!!! I'm so surprised because I had saved this image from the website but ruled it out as "too bold" for me, but the dark greens are perfect! I'm so excited to try it now!!! thank you!!:smile1:

thank you so much dharma, it is my pleasure to show the shawl flat and worn, i know it has helped me tremendously in deciding which shawls i wanted for the season upon seeing others' pics here... i am sorry to hear aPdP hasn't worked out for you, but i hope you can try this soon and that it doesn't disappoint.. it has a very different feel from aPdP for sure!

Mrs JDS, this BB is radiant on you and will go with everything. Congratulations.

Pegase, I adore BF on you, the way this pattern ties is mysteriously beautiful. It is such an eye catcher and the blues are spring/summer like.

thank you so much maedi!

Bravo carlinha, I never doubted it would look less than perfect. How does it look with your Bambou K (I think you have one, forgive if not) have you tried it?

thank you so much papertiger! yes it is perfect with bambou, turquoise, RT/RT and even RC, and other non-hermes bags and shoes i own
