Me too, duna! Don't think I ever had this pattern even way back when. It first came out in 1961, it has almost a 50's feel to it in the original. I'm thrilled to have it.





Thank you sac-a-main! There are two greens in the little tags, lime and vert anis. The background pattern is interesting up close too, rounded Hs I think and then interlocking designs that could be metal, or spurs or just abstract. Here's a detail picture, colors are not this intense really but that's how the picture came out.

Just a quick thx for the additional pix of that 'belt'. Absolutely love those soft yellow-greens work w/ the soft blues of this piece. It's a more feminine version of the cyan/yellow I see in some of the men's ties.

Did you see 07 IRL??

No I didn't (not sure if the cw has been produced, no reports of sighting thus far). I was lucky enough to be shown the Leila shawl order book with the corresponding cw pics. I would say almost all the cw are soft with white/natural base with a dominant colour family like red/wine, blue, green, orange brown (cannelle i.e. cinnamon).

Hi everybody, i have a few pics of le Jardin de Leila to share. I took these pics under fluorescent light to try to show the true colors of the shawl since it is such a delicate design.

04 blanc/framboise/lie de vin is red/wine tone on tone. 07 blanc/rose/mauve is more colourful (the look book photo of the 6 different shawls posted earlier is 07 for the Jardin de Leila).

You are absolutely right, sissy! I already tried it on and it looked even more beautiful! I have dark hair and my skin tone is rather yellow. Usually I have problems with off-white/beige backgrounds but it worked. I think It will be a good match with my GP Bois de Rose and my BV in watteau...

You look fantastic! I am so glad the scarves worked out for you, this looks magnificent with your coloring. I'm sure the Rose de Compas is just as sensational, it's such a lovely scarf. Even though the 16 colorway didn't work for me, I am still tempted to try out the other colorways when they finally appear at my local store.

This is so nice on you Katel..goes well with your leather jacket!



I also compared my blue reissue of this with the original blue CW and noted that the original had more contrast but that is not to say that they aren't both beautiful in their own ways. If you have the originals, I don't think you need to buy the reissue but if you don't have them yet, now's your chance to get one of the most lovely designs of the decade!
