Honestly, I know it's wrong, but I'm sincerely hoping I will detest F/W 2014. This spring/summer has destroyed me. I'd better learn to sew so I can assemble all the silks I've bought this season into some winter clothing, 'cus that's what I'll be wearing.

I had forgotten about the Preppy preference for pink and green. A scarf that is perfect to wear with LL Bean summery separates, perhaps?

Yes, indeed! LL Bean, J Crew, Brooks Brothers, Ralph and Tommy.... Prep, STAT! :smile1: Thank you nana!

Oh thank you! I couldn't believe it when I saw what I'd written, my eyes popped out of my head :) I rarely post but admire all your mod shots - you have a knack for tying scarves and highlighting the sweet details.

Enjoy the birds :)
footloose, Thank you so much! :smile1: I am blushing! :blushing:

Oh, the lift pendant arrived, what a peach it is, Ladybaga! Perfect pairing to your flock of birdies!

Thank you Brit, it is my first pendant and I really love the color for this season's neutral palette. I have a few other horn pieces, but no pendants until this one. Very lightweight and perfect also for those non silk wearing days.

Ladybaga, I adore how this pendant pairs so well with both scarves! Do you like one more than the other? I love them both.

Does anybody know/have pictures of the BdO color ways? That would be super helpful.
Thank you sweet Maedi! I am so indecisive, I really don't know which I love more. I do like the idea that the noir version can be worn year round and is bolder. I've had fun pulling button downs from the closet to wear with both. If I have time, I'll post some pics. I am drawn to greens and purples, so thankfully, this doesn't come in purple or I would have to get a second job!

Dear Lady B! Both colors, Big Pretty, Birdies wounderfull!!!
I had the black CW in my hands... I loved the gold - glimmer it has...

Major congrats Markova! You wear this stunningly!
I feel for you with that pull!... luckely the CS GMS are not to difficult to fix!

Thank you, dear Pegase! I love that Peter crammed the canvas with so many birds! makes tying a breeze as the pattern is not lost in the folds! I am excited to see how I can highlight these feathered friends by experimenting with various tying methods. A black and gold version sounds striking! Me thinks you should revisit it! :graucho:

What a fabulous double these are going to make with the Lift, I'm smacking my lips after the visual feast

Thank you papertiger! DH and I went out with friends, and the skies looked ominous, so I left the silk at home and just wore the lift with a wrap dress. It was the perfect accent with the dress. Looking through my wardrobe, I had no idea that this peach color went with so many outfits. Thankfully, it didn't rain, but I was ready to toss the pendant in to my bag if the skies let loose. Do you know if horn and lacquer can hold up in the rain? I don't want to make a mistake.

I've more or less given up clothes shopping in favor of scarf shopping.

Wood was originally lacquered to protect it, so unless the lacquer is ever chipped (very unlikely) it is very hardy, the only to be weary of is intense heat so just be careful leaning over a candle-lit table etc. Just gently wipe any water off a lacquered object with a soft cloth and it should be perfect. Polished horn is also fine just wiped although it can crack if pressured or dropped on a hard surface, again keep away from direct heat. Love this colour Lift, quite a neutral as well as being so pretty

Thank you, papertiger, for the reply! I will make sure that I stay away from fire and intense heat. :smile1:

OMG, number 10. Just shoot me.
Mindi B - I saw this colorway IRL a while ago and it's slightly different than on the h.com photo. IRL, the background is not pink, it's a salmon orange. The colorway description says Saumon as well. My skin doesn't look good with the salmon shade so I had to pass... I guess 1 cw down, many more to mull over.

Sadly, I think I can "do" salmon. Rats. :p (But thanks for the heads-up!)

Oh thank god, salmon hates my face.

+1000, I so agree, markova! Although, I still like shoes, lol. Who needs clothes with scarves and heels?

I didn't mention shoes, did I?
