Though I'd probably look like death-warmed-over in this cw and pattern, I'm oddly intrigued, go figure.
I agree - not doing anything for me and I was looking forward to itIs it just me or is anybody else a bit disappointed with the ex libris plaid design?

I'm not loving it either, MYH. It's just not very interesting. Is it just me or is anybody else a bit disappointed with the ex libris plaid design?
Or h.com mixed up the CWs - it wouldn't be the first time!btw the Licorne GM cw02 looks almost nothing like this IRL. It is a lot softer.
Either that or I'm going crazy!
It may be better irl- perhaps I should keep an open mind- in a nice cw it could work. But there are other more original designs this season to divert my attention.
Compared to ExLenK, yes, it is disappointing and rather derivative-looking. Like trying to incorporate the plaid trend with the H icons. Easy pass pour moi.

I think H did a better job with the reissues that with this one - Mors et Gourmettes Remix is a fantastic update of that design, and the embroidered Brides de Gala is also a very neat idea
MORE De la Mer au Ciel
CW 13, 14, 17, 18
I'm still mainly lurking, but had to share these with my sisters.
Enjoy!

I'm glad I'm not the only one but yes, I will keep an open mind if I see a nice cw. Perhaps we might all be surprised? I was so looking forward to it because I love ELenK but something about the plaid squares (are they a tad too big?) and coloring makes it look kind of flat. I guess I was imagining a more fine/granular plaid?

I think I've found some more information about Jeff Fisher who did Bal des Oiseaux: http://www.amazon.com/Birds-Jeffrey-Fisher/dp/0811862348
Hi sophieg,
What do you think of Brides de Gala brodé IRL? I am interested in ordering it (especially since the price is quite "affordable" but have no chance to see it IRL.. Does it use beads as well or only thread embroidered? Is it so difficult to see it just from the website.
Thanks a lot & best regards
