How very true,if you are'nt hugely well off, there is absolutely no point having more than you can wear at any one time. The money tied up in these items is probably best off elsewhere working for you.

I agree. I prefer buying fewer higher quality items than a mish-mash of so-so jewelry items. Unfortunately over the years I've collected many so-so jewelry items as gifts as I was growing up, but I don't really consider them a 'collection', and certainly not something I'd put forward as an accomplishment. I contemplate taking much of my jewelry to sell on consignment. I try very hard now to buy fewer, nicer items, and my husband does the same when buying me gifts (I give him plenty of direction!).

I don't mean to be offensive, but I just don't get where PMtrading is coming from. I'd read in another thread that he was rich and had 'unlimited funds', and now he's middle class. It almost seems as though he's trying to create a false persona for himself, and this modest jewelry collection is how he's trying to validate himself. On the other hand... if he and his wife are jewelry collecting as a hobby, and this is their baseline to eventually trade up to nicer things, then it would make more sense. They are obviously proud of what they've collected, and I guess it's important to realize that everything is relative.

My bet is that HE is a trader who is trying to gain the confidence and trust with the potensial market here. First he will show the goods, flash the cash so to speak. Then he will be like.....Do you like what you see, you can have this too, its easy, you dont even need to have money, just do what I say, I will show you how its done etc......Then he will direct you to some business or site that is his!!!!!

Otherwise this person is just not normal for a whole lot of reasons (collecting Jewellery not being one of them). imo

Coleigh~This poster has presented "herself" as both both Mr. and Mrs. pmptrading. He has also misrepresented his financial status. He has started some inflammatory threads on other forums on this site. He has come across as condescending in his male role and then switched genders to become more accepted. This is why some of us have lost tolerance for this poster.

Sir John, PLEEEEEEASE don't start it until you...

Oh, thank goodness I caught you before you turned the key on that splendid machine, after 25 years and all! What a joy.
Yes, Sir John, since this is such a valuable and rare car, PLEASE don't forget to put your tongue on the coil before you work the starter. And you may want to have at least two or more batteries in parallel for that pesky Moonza (Boy, Ricky, talk about a "one-off", WOW, I've never even HEARD of a Moonza before! Do you figure Gerald Roush has?).
Good luck starting the "barstard", and good luck with that "rough street use" thing you mentioned. You may want to actually have a baseball card on either side of your bicycle wheel spokes when you fire it up. You know, so that you can get that full 12 cylinder howl, for that rough street use! At least I am sure that you actually have those kinds of "wire wheels".
Sorry folks, but this is just too funny (pathetic) for words. Take a look, this is none other than our friend "Henry Frank", the eighth or ninth incarnation of our buddy Ricky. This time he was actually stupid enough to use the same email address as Henry Frank: [email protected]. Oh, if Microsoft only knew...
Schmucko, I guess that it really was as tough as they said juggling ALL of those email addresses! Well anyway at least you've finally proven that you never have owned a Ferrari, that you certainly don't currently own a Ferrari, and that you almost definitely will never own a Ferrari. And that's just got to suck, doesn't it Henry, Ed, Ivan, Ricky, Richard, Sallas, Sabbah, etc, etc, etc?
Bye for now,
Arch Duke Franz
(aka: The Truth Avenger)
p.s. You can just call me "TTA" for short. I'll be watching, listening (good call, Wayne), and yes, I'll be back.
p.p.s. You may also want to polish up your grasp of the Queen's English, Sir John, being that you were knighted by the Her Royal Highness and all. Can't wait to hear of your progress with the Moonza and your English lessons. Looks like you've been spending a little too much time with an older version of Hooked on Phonics. Anyway, good luck, and keep in touch.

And then I found this,mmmmmmmmmmm.
Hello,
A a very rich guy who has unlimited funds I think I am best to answer this.....

I have built a watch collection for my wife....

They are:-
1) Rolex President in Yellow gold with Diamond dial and Diamond bezel. Classic $$$ item. Yellow gold means no confusion with steel.... the watch of the seriously rich.
2) Cartier Diablo - I love the 5 saphires on this critter.... My wife is Japanese so we got the MINI DIABLO VERSION! Lovely blue strap.... CLASS CLASS - we almost choose a TANK instead HOWEVER .... the tank can come in GOLD PLATE ..... YUK! ... the Diablo is an 18K GOLD animal ONLY
3) Cartier VLC with Diamonds - spur of the moment purchase at the cartier shop..... 18K BIG MONEY ITEM..... When you have too much money you do silly things at times!!!! Very classy however.....
4) Baume & Mercier 18K Riviera - Classic understated watch......
5) Audemars Piguet steel and gold.... classic piece.... far too $$$$$ - PROBABLY A SILLY PURCHASE in hindsight......
6) Omega Constellation in Steel - just a classic to wear around the house or when gardening...... Every collection needs a STEEL WORK HORSE.....

We have had a Patek for her.... but she never worn it.....

Hello,
Mrs pmptrading here....

I can't understand why we should not call our collection THE SUPER COLLECTION.....

Are you saying our collection is too small?

Are you saying we need more pieces?

I can't understand your comments.......

Some of the comments here are really hurtful.......

Mr,Mrs.............I can't keep up:confused1:
