i have a thing against celebrity lines. i cant fathom it. i keep imaging michelle tanner with spaghetti in her face, conning me into buying those videos and now conning me into their other business. no thanks.

The first black tote looks like great leather. The first leather tote looks like something I could purchase at my TJMaxx or Kohl's.

I like E&J clothing and shoes. No way I would pay that much $ on their bags or any bag for that matter.

Yea, they're definitely pricey -- it's pretty apparent that they're aiming for a particular clientele -- but isn't the clothing from The Row also pretty expensive? Their Elizabeth & James line is a little more affordable. I wonder if they'll produce a line of handbags for that line?

Like I said earlier, I love the idea behind the Twin bag and think that it's going to be their best seller (even at that price, they'll have buyers for it), mainly because it's like getting two bags for the price of one (altho at that price, it's more like the price of 5 or 6 bags I'd buy!!:p ) I'd like to see it in non-exotic leather (maybe like a calf and lamb) and maybe in contrasting colors rather than contrasting skins.

I'm with you.

I'd rather give my money to "proven" luxury goods houses...
or just the ones I like.... i.e. YSL, Tod's, Prada, etc. etc.

I actually think they're better as designers than they were as actresses.
They were <2 yrs old when their parents had them audition for the role of Michelle Tanner -- designing has been THEIR decision and passion since they were old enough to make that decision. I've always loved their style and individualism. I think that Twin Mini is ingenious and am surprised that no one has thought to do something like that sooner

ITA
They're very talented women and when it comes to recognition of their recent work in fashion design I think their lifelong celebrity must be both a blessing and a curse.
As a big fan of The Row and an admirer of the Olsen's style I'm always interested in their new ventures :D
I'd love to see one of the bags IRL to feel the quality of it.

And slightly OT but my avatar was part of the advertising campaign for the first season of The Row :smile1:
