Thanks so much for your valuable opinion ladies! I noticed that in US majority of the ladies have rings that are 1ct above - however this size looks too much for my hand hence I’m looking at 0.7 +/-.
I tried the emerald without halo but it just looks very odd on my hand so I prefer the halo version as it has a bit of a rounded edge in comparison, giving a softer look. Am generally not a fan of simple-looking rings. I’m conflicted - I prefer the look of the emerald but like the shine of the round cut.
My hubby is gonna be paying for this one as an anniversary ring so i have to be sure!
I love the way the soleste looks on you. You also need to factor in the wedding band so try them on together. I have the classic solitaire and I love it, I pair it with a diamond band and sometimes a plain knife edge. I would love to get the emerald soleste down the road to wear on my right hand.
thanks for your input. yknow, im not quite sure if it's an asian thing but stones that are too large just dont look good. it almost looks fake (personal opinion) and my finger really cant take anything above 1ct.For stones of this size, I like the round with the classic 6 prong Tiffany setting (this is what I have), the band on the harmony is too wide, which makes the diamond look smaller.
As much as I love emerald cut, I think it only looks good with a bigger stone (at least 3 carat for solitaire, 2.5 carat for halo). A 3+ carat emerald halo is on my wishlist.
thank you! i still have 2 weeks to think it through before i visit the store again. i hope i dont walk out empty handed.. that would be such a bummer for my SAI actually really love the emerald soleste on you, and have come back to this post just to look at the picture!
Good luck deciding!

I just came back from the boutique and after contemplating, I should be going for the harmony band round solitaire instead. Should I take the rose gold band, or the platinum band? Do base it purely on looks and not the hardiness etc.
