Your bracelet is really pretty, I love the muranos that add a dash of colour. With regards to adding more colour or gold, it depends on what you are after. Do you want a colourful bracelet or a more elegant bracelet? Like you say, you don't want it to be full, so you are restricting yourself to buying some nice charms to make it look even prettier. If I were you I would go for some gold. Maybe a few gold spacers or two tone. The pave charms are pretty too, but I wouldn't advise more than a couple if you are planning on keeping your bracelet half full (maybe eve just one for sparkle). In the UK where I live, a silver charm will cost you $364 HKD (I worked this out using a convertor). Is this the same as HK? You also say that the sales assistants aren't friendly in HK - are they quite snobbish?

My family are from HK. Are you from there too or do you just live there?:D

Thanks! That's really nice of you :) I just started on my bracelet last week and I see all these pretty designs! Thanks for the input - and yes I'm thinking of sparkles and some hints of gold in there. I like to keep it simple but seeing all these FULL bracelets are making me thinking maybe I'll have a full one too hahah :p

The charms in HK are more expensive - silver charms are like 399HKD, and gold ones even more than expensive as price goes up. The beautiful princess carriage one they sell here for 899HKD (which I really want), which is around 74GBP or 116USD. Online I believe it's 65GBP... And plus sales here I don't think is as good as UK/US! Oh well! :( Maybe I'll buy from online even! :graucho:

And regarding the SA. sigh.. I would pay some extra money to get some good service and for them to help me out with the bracelet selections.. But my experience wasn't so good.

I would have bought more if she wasn't being so unfriendly. So for example, I took some time to see which Muranos I want - and I initially chose this pink one and then changed my mind ONCE to the purple murano as I thought pink was too girly for my taste :p. Then the SA went impatient and said, 'YOU said you wanted pink!' And while I was trying my charms on, I was twisting and turning my wrist seeing how they would slide, the SA said 'You'll scratch the beads!'

They are on display anyways and I believe I have the right to see how they look on my bracelet...

And other things happened too, but don't want to create negative energy here haha;)

Bottom line being, I won't go back to that shop in Central (that's the district).

And yes I was born in HK! But I'll move soon away next Feb :)

Haha, sounds great, you must upload some pics soon. I think some gold in a bracelet really makes it look pretty and elegant.:smile1:

You're so right. I've seen some really gorgeous examples on this thread and others in tPf. Even on my own oxidised bracelet, the gold clasp just pops brilliantly

I'm undecided on the safety chain so put it on the back burner so to speak. Just got matching gold clips and a red leather bracelet for myself and; starter bracelet for my mom yesterday. She's wanted Pandora for so long but never pulled the trigger so I did it for her:p

Haven't posted here in a while, but I've updated my Pandora bracelets quite a bit since the last time.

Here's my very first bracelet. I wanted a pink "hearts and flowers" theme. Some of the beads do not fit the theme so I'll take them out in place of new ones. In particular, the elephant, teddy bear and probably the lucky cat look out of place. So I'm probably gonna have a fun "animals" bracelet in the future and transfer them there:

This next bracelet is my purple themed bracelet, but after my London-Paris trip this year, I'm converting it to a bracelet to commemorate that trip. I'm taking out the open works beads in place of green themed muranos (green and purple to remind me of Wimbledon!):

Last one, my double leather pink bracelet. I'll probably get two more beads for this. Maybe the cherry blossom dangle and another heart pave clip:

I also have a bangle and a black leather bracelet, with no beads yet. Still thinking about what theme I want for them :)

Your first bracelet is very pretty! It has some of the charms on my next purchase! :D:D

I have been back to HK many times cos we live in Sha Tau Kok and I think most Chinese shop assistants are like this. They are quite blunt and not very friendly but I think this is just the way of most Chinese people. They are even worse in the markets especially the older women. Are there many Pandora shops around - I have not back in a few years?

I think you should treat yourself to a nice one and maybe get one with meaning behind it. Have you thought about what you would like next? Maybe you could buy online?:D:smile1:

Yea I know that some CHinese SAs aren't as nice, but her tone was just ... so bad as if I did something wrong.. it wasn't nice experience. I been to the MongKok one once, and the SA there was nicer. Think will go there from now on. :)

Sha Tau Kok? I haven't been there yet!

Anyways, as I'm Christian I am thinking of the gold cross charm and some traveling charms (I love traveling around) :D

This is a very thoughtful and pretty bracelet. I love the crayons! Its so nice to have meaningful charms. What do you plan on buying next?:D

Thank you!! I'd like to get the "Bow Tie" slider and the "Teacup & Saucer" charm to represent the trip to Disney I just returned from. I was a bridesmaid in a friend's wedding there at WDW and my dress had a big bow on the behind ;) AND the Mad Tea Party was the first ride my husband and I went on .... spinning around in a giant pink cup is probably my favorite thing to do ever. Also, I really love tea.

I think my husband is looking at the "Happily Ever After" charm for my birthday.

It's a shame Disney doesn't sell Pandora. I know they have Chamilia, but none of the charms appealed to me.

Sheung Shui and Sha Tin are closer for me when I am in HK, but I do go to Kowloon and Central too. Believe me there are equally unhelp staff in the UK shops. Some are plain rude and unhelpful. A while ago, I got a ring and asked about the return policy because it was in the sale. The lady said that if I returned it within 14 days I could get a full refund. The ring was a gift for a friend and unfortunately it was a bit too big so I had to take it back. The lady wasn't there so I was served by a man instead who told me that the policy was an exchange and not a refund, despite the lady saying this. All he said was that she shouldn't have said that and refused to give me a refund. In my eyes he should have honoured his staff and given me a refund since that was the reason I bought it knowing I could get a refund. He didn't even apologised. He was rude and very unhelpful. I said I wanted to speak to the manager and he said that she wasn't in and he was in charge. He was a horrible man and I will never go back to that store again!

My friend has the two tone bible cross dangle charm and it's very cute. You could get the suitcase or the plane charm for travelling. There is the palm tree charm too but that isn't as nice.:smile1:

Your husband is so thoughtful wow! The happily ever after charm is so cute. I don't like to mix my charms on my bracelet. I much prefer the Pandora charms, although Chamilia do, do some nice ones.:D

I have a lilac macramé bracelet which I bought in Leeds not too long ago. It can only have one clip on. I have been using the clips I have on my blue and green bracelet to put on it, but they don't really go, so I am after a new clip. Pay day is just round the corner. I am thinking of either getting the lotus clip of the queen of hearts clip. Does anyone have these clips in real life and what are your thoughts?

I like the lotus because it is my name in Chinese, but I also like the hearts because it looks pretty. I am swaying towards the lotus.

Thanks!:D

I have the Queen of Hearts clip and I love it :smile1: it is very pretty, and has a lovely oxidised finish. it's a bit bulkier as well, which might give it more presence if it's the focal point of your macramé bracelet!

I don't know about the lotus clip, as I don't think it's available here in the UK :/

The lotus clip is available from Perlen still. It's good to get feedback thanks. I don't suppose you could upload a pic some time of yours?:smile1:
