I define a “classic” as something that says, “I have money, good taste, and I don’t go in for trends.”
A classic should have been continuously made for at least the last decade. Something that’s aesthetic still appeals even when the trend is done.
It should be versatile - neither a teenager nor a grandmother should be embarrassed to carry it, but it might slide a little older.
And, it needs to be well-made. By that I mean, no major repair issues; still perfectly functional with daily use and occasional spa visits after 15 years.
