The Mystery of the Ostrich Bags Has Been Solved! (~Instant Reveal!~)

Notice that the DD pic that BonBonz posted of this bag 2 days ago in the Fall 2011 thread as she and other great tpfers so wonderfully 
tried to help me find out more about this bag does NOT have an adjustable shoulder strap with the buckle.
BUT!
I also noticed on the Fall 2011 thread that the pic of the bag (on page 4) does NOT have an adjustable strap with a buckle.
So, in essence, Coach has the Fawn bag with a strap that is DIFFERENT than pictured in the original Fall preview pics and the Plum bag with a strap that is the SAME as pictured in the fall preview pics....but different than in the DD pic. (Is that confusing enough for everyone???!))
While this is NOT a deal breaker for me on the plum bag, this is something I'm mulling over with teh fawn bag. I really love the fawn Ostrich bag, but was expecting that multi-ring chain strap to show off more of the rosegold hardware....

And LOADS of close up pics...Notice how the texture and shading on this bag is very interesting. The trim is patent AND also suede, and the leather is the same as that on the spring 2011 ivory and pink-ish specatator totes....(In other words, the plum satchel is NOT elevated leather...It IS SPECTATOR leather.) IMO, this is a good thing as I think in a darker colored leather in an elevated, well, it would probably be more prone to marks and scratches (unlike the gorgey sorbet that princess69 or emilybug revealed--where that light glaze they put on the sorbet, the navy and the jade also helps tremendously...DON'T think that glaze would look good on this plum bag)
So lots of words here to say COACH DONE GOOD with the spectator leather choice, the trims, the awesome embossing that REALLY LOOKS LIKE OSTRICH and the hang tags, too.

I'm not a leather expert, but the fawn bag looks like snakeskin to me and the plum bag looks like ostrich!
Wow Proff, You crack me up!! I got worn out just reading your story I can imagine what you felt like with all those delays. Your bags are absolutely beautiful. I stopped yesterday and used my PCE in the Fresno boutique (on my way to Clovis you babysit my 2 cuties for the last time this summer). I won't be able to do a reveal until I get home next sunday cuz I don't know how to do my pics, which I haven't taken yet, on their computer. Thanks for sharing your new beauties, granny
