Had a lovely experience at DC City Center today. This is the second boutique I’ve visited to find the pink Bingata twilly (scored!) and a Duo Cosmique (still elusive). What surprised me was that I walked out with a CW10 Grand Theatre Nouveau! This was partly due to some enabling by @Croisette7 lovely photos and partly due to again realizing that you really do need to see things IRL. This had not been on my list a week ago, as it’s a style I’ve never really gravitated toward, but when I saw it today - it was really the one 90 from this season that just jumped out of the case.

I rarely wear 90's anymore, but I feel i need the Grand Theatre Nouveau in that cw. It is so beautiful. I love yellow and green.

I rarely wear 90's anymore, but I feel i need the Grand Theatre Nouveau in that cw. It is so beautiful. I love yellow and green.

Why do you rarely wear 90's now? I am curious, because I find the 140's in CSGM and 140's silk plume/wash much easier to style. I love the designs of the 90's, but I am scarf tie challenged! and I find the 90's harder to knot, IYKWIM.

It's evolved that way over the years. I find I don't like the feel of a silk scarf in the summer. I tend to wear etro light cashmeres (long and narrow) in the summer if I need something around my neck in cold offices or doctor's offices and such. Once it gets colder in the fall, I wear a CSGM every day with a jacket or coat. I am tie challenged as well; CSGM's are so easy to just throw around one's neck with almost any kind of coat or jacket.
