In Greek, when there is a “υ” (in capital letter, a “Υ”) after the “e”, the “u” makes an “f” sound. So Hermès’ phonetic spelling is correct.
Thank you for clarifying! One would expect a language to change a bit over the millennia, I suppose
Duo Cosmique is just perfect! However am I going to choose a cw?k.

A bit disappointed with Les 12 Leopards. I still like the first cw we saw, but I find myself thinking the CSGM format does it no favors? I think I would prefer it in silk.

Question for those more in the know- do they ever do a pattern in a 140CGSM and not release it in a 90 Later? I just don’t need another CGSM and I love the 3 I have now and even at that rarely wear them. N I love 12 leopards so am hoping it will come in a 90/70 silk at some point that I can wait for.

Nope! I feel just like you do @jenlee8751. I won't be purchasing the larger version of Danse Des Amazones in 140 CSGM, even though it had a couple of much brighter colorways I could wear, because I recently learned about some of the symbols in the design. Even though I love the overall look of that ornately detailed design, I no longer want to own it. I won't rain on anyone else's parade, however. I hope everyone loves and enjoys every single one of their purchases.

Just out of curiosity, what symbols are you talking about in the Danse des Amazones? Now I'm intrigued!

Sometimes I am surprised when I see a scarf IRL because the over exposed photos from hermes.com were really quite different from the real thing. They also definitely use photoshop a lot (like all the mod shots with old season models are all photoshopped on I think). I look forward to seeing the scarves IRL & from everyone who share their purchases in these scarf threads!

But personally this season is also on the underwhelming side to me, however I found lots to love the previous season which I know isn’t the case for everyone, so probably all personal taste in the end!

Also, feels like H is putting out more stuff with new(er) designers recently. That and a lot of re-issues lol.
This 100%

I definitely see a few colourways that I love, but I was disappointed in the colourways so far of Les 12 Leopards. From the sneak previews, I thought that was going to be a real winner. That said, I have the opposite problem with La Danse. It isn't one of my favourite designs but I really like the red colourway.

I do wish (and this may be an unpopular opinion) the artists would cool it with the jungle leaves. In recent years there have been a huge number of scarves, from Alice Shirley notably but also from others, that feature wide strips of very similar-looking jungle leaves around the borders. I appreciate a lot of those designs, but if one is throwing-and-going rather than doing a complicated tie, they often look identical.
Jungle leaves! I feel the same way about feathers, LOL. Enough feathers - they all look alike to me.

Some quick thoughts:
Hermes Dress Code: I love the quirky portraits along the side, but not the woman's face in the middle. I might get the twilly instead which only has the cute portraits. The pirate tie is definitely one NOT to do with this scarf, as then the models end up with a giant nose on their foreheads

Lazy Leopardesses: Eeeeeeeek those creepy eyes staring at you! NO THANKS.

Encadre Eperon d'Or: I love the 100cm cashmere/silk format and this Encadre format is also cool. The center of the scarf is hard to highlight anyway, so it doesn't bother me to have that be blank. I think they should lower the price for those though, given that the majority of the scarf has no design.... CW5 with the black middle looks stunning with the model's black sweater.

And once again, I find the men's scarves a billion million times more appealing than the women's  The women's designs are kind of old-fashioned and boring to me - stuff like Grand Tralala, Lift Profile etc would look anachronistic in my wardrobe. (YMMV of course!!) The men's designs seem so much more modern and versatile. I am a goner for the cute pac-man esthetic of Faubourg Party and super tempted by CW 2, but trying to resist by telling myself that I already have TWO blue men's scarves with a bright yellow contrast hem... Quatre Chevaux CW7 with that emerald hem is also gorgeous...

Plus those men's fringed 65cm cashmere/silk scarves!! LOVE LOVE LOVE that bright contrast fringe in yellow, fuschia, red... What a cool design.
