I like the simple beauty of this style, but it also seems like a bag for a younger person. Perhaps because small, simple shoulder bags were in when I was clubbing in my early 20s. I’m only 42, but I can’t shake the feeling that this bag wouldn’t look right for me. Also, while $1,700 seems like a bargain with where designer bag prices have gone lately, we’re still talking almost $2k for not much bag. I laugh when I realize I’ve been brainwashed to think $2k is inexpensive.
I agree with you! Something about this bag is too simple, KWIM? But I do like the charm on the strap that makes it clear it is Loewe. IMHO, Loewe's bag styles are very unique so I'm not too impressed with this one. It may grow on me over time... I'm always late to the party anyways! LOL

I really love this bag! What actually intrigued me was the way it was shown in a photo where the sides pulled together like a fortune cookie. Has anyone seen it that way? I think that would make it more unique than just a shoulder bag as it’s shown .

I feel the same about that. It is like those Y2K bags, like that Prada one. Not my thing at all.
Only thing I like about it, is the fortune cookie way to wear it, but I guess, wearing it that way means, it will nearly fit nothing reasonable.

I can understand why Loewe chose to line this bag in broken twill. It's a dense strong weave but light weight, especially compared to suede.
This should make this bag (in theory) lighter than the flamenco and reduce the load on it's very thin strap.
Honestly, I prefer broken twill linings to suede. Especially in medium and large bags lol

I purchased from BG and ultimately returned it. I thought it would be the perfect casual quiet luxury bag but I couldn’t get over the fact that it was giving madewell vibes (nothing wrong with madewell, I shop there but cant justify a $1700 bag from there 🤪). I got it in bottle green so maybe that’s what lended to the fact that it looked unremarkable. I have a mini puzzle and what I love is how unique it looks, however, the hammock hobo even with its versatility just wasn’t special enough for me to keep in my collection.

I saw this bag in the flesh yesterday as a friend bought it, and I’m now obsessed with getting one! Seems really versatile as you can wear cross body, on the shoulder or pull the straps together so it seems more of an evening pouch, so it can be casual or dressy. I do wish it had metal loops for the straps instead of leather, but the bag seemed really light so hopefully wouldn’t be an issue. Also fits way more inside than I thought, I never fully fill the small puzzle as I find the opening a bit annoying if I do, so for me this bag could probably fit in the same amount!
I might wait to see if any new colours come out next year as would like maybe a dusky pink or light beige for a going out option, but could definitely see adding black into my collection as a very versatile option! I would get the light blue but I already have a Bottega mini Jodie in a very similar colour .

I have the bag in tan. I love it for its simplicity. I added a couple more dice for a little personality. I traveled with it and its light weight and carried everything I needed.
Hi have you tried carrying like a small water bottle or small novel in it? Will it be possible? Thanks!

I have the bag in warm desert and I agree that it's a great lightweight bag to carry what I need daily. I will say since I don't fill the bag completely the zipper area looks a little wonky sometimes (due to bending and nothing directly underneath) but I just adjust it and its fine

Hi have you tried carrying like a small water bottle or small novel in it? Will it be possible? And is the zipper smooth? Thanks!

It can fit a small water bottle and maybe a small book (I haven't tried the book) but it'll depend on what you carry daily. If you don't want to push the bend in the middle and just have the top straight, then it can definitely hold more. All my Loewe bags' zippers are smooth, I've had no issues
