It's so hard to find out! And so frustrating.
Nooooooo! This can't be! Also not what the article says:
"Next month, the French luxury brand will unveil a limited-edition scarf commemorating The Battery, which encompasses the southern shoreline of Manhattan and boasts a 25-acre park.
The scarf was designed by Italian artist Ugo Gattoni and will be available in the brand’s New York boutiques as well as online. “It’s very whimsical, but it’s very identifiable to be the tip of Manhattan,” Chavez added. “You can see the little Hermès flag flying just a little north at our Broad Street location. It’s fun and pays homage to the beautiful gardens and wonderful location that The Battery represents to New Yorkers and visitors.”
Maybe just a particular CW for the attendees, just like the one for Canada (the Alice Shirley Into the Canadian Wild)?
Thank you for the valuable info!! My SA has not mentioned about the three days rule but I'm most likely will be in store on June 15 to pick up mineRe: special colourway for Canada 150 - my SA said that numbers were quite limited, and that they would offer it first to their regular clients with history with the store. One scarf only per client . You will get the call June 15, and then have 3 days to pick up or release the scarf, and then if there are any left they may be available to walk ins. Or they may just send the remainder around to the other Canadian boutiques to satisfy demand with "second tier" regular clients, without making it available to walk ins at all... but of course, this could be just typical Hermes marketing - so who knows..
She also said the H-stores have already received the scarf and the colourway is truly gorgeous..

According to my information, the airport shops all are concessionaires! They don't "obey" the rules from the mother ship that won't allow new season scarfs to be sold or shown prior to a certain date, even if they are already in stock! That's why they sell them first! Also because of this, you will always find older scarfs (since H won't call back past seasons from them) and often, other CWs than in most shops!I get the feeling that the H stores in airports tend to get scarves earlier than those in cities. When none of my stores received any samourais, ZP moussie, a few of them were already available at airports that i visited. That kind of make sense. Most of us would probably prefer to build a relationship with our SAs and a purchase history with our home stores when it comes to higher price tags. For something relatively affordable like scarves, it seems to make sense for airport stores to focus on and cater to none H regulars.

I am just noting my interest in that beautiful cw on the far right. Possibly model ships in bottles? Or maybe messages in bottles, all saying "Save your pennies, we are coming"!!!

I was at the Toronto store today, and they have the special edition cw of this scarf on display in the two front windows, and it's beautiful! It's also on the front of the invitations the store has printed for the event. Can't wait to meet the artist, and hopefully purchase one (although my name is on page 3 of the list of clients wanting this cw!).I'm not sure if they can reserve one for you if you have no history with the store. Maybe you can go in person on June 15 to purchase one or call them couple days prior to see how many limited edition scarf they will receive. I wonder if Hermes Canada website will also have them available to purchase on that day (one can always call them to inquire!)![]()
I'm in Calgary and my SA said she has put one aside for me already (finger crossed!) will any of you ladies be at the store to meet the artist on June 15?I was at the Toronto store today, and they have the special edition cw of this scarf on display in the two front windows, and it's beautiful!
