I'm one of those "always cold in the office" sorts. I'm always amazed how cozy I feel with a 90, 70, or even 45 cm around my neck, even if the rest of the outfit isn't particularly "bundled up".

Welcome. I recommend cashmere for warmth. Silk is lovely as an accessory, in my opinion.

If you are looking to keep your neck warmer then go for a 90 silk. If you want something to drape around your shoulders to keep your body/neck warm then go for a 140 cashmere/silk. I use my 140s as scarves, cardigans, wraps and as a blanket whilst travelling. They are very versatile. It also comes down to the look you wish to achieve.

Silk is well known for regulating temperature and some of the finest ski thermals are made from pure silk (although knitted).

I prefer the pure silks to put on and take off during the day and wear them inside as well as out. I'm already warm bloodied but some people prefer the very warm cashmeres which I tend to only wear on really cold days and while I'm outside.

Thanks for your input! Looks like 140 might be a better fit for me then..i cant wait to get my hands on one![emoji7][emoji7]

Took a while to choose between some very nice cws of Into the Canadian Wild. In the end I chose 08. A blue/brown/yellow I can almost call a neutral for me. Less bright than on h.com, I'd say this is the cw of the darkest Winter night. Having lived in the Scandinavian Arctic where the light and dark are reversed as the sky is inky black but the snow reflects back the powerfully bright moon and stars. I love every corner but wow, the Polar bear quadrant and the owl point are really dramatic. I love the white contrast hem too. Please forgive my selfie-challenged photo. When you look carefully it actually has lots of different colours including kissing-cousins such as black and navy, navy and dark teal, dark teal teal and dark green, silver and greys etc. The light brown of many of the animals works really well in the colour scheme. Brown and blue are always useful (especially with a Gold bag). Overall, they blend That's an acid yellow cashmere cardigan, my t-shirt is navy though you can't see.

No CSGMs this season but I couldn't resist Peg d'H en Bloc 09 140 GM silk. I can't do ice cream and milkshake colours but sherbets work beautifully. I've got a Pegasus and a rainbow, all on one scarf. And it loves one of my Chanel jackets, perhaps turning a trophy piece into a whole outfit. No idea when I'll wear it because it's such a Summer look. Certainly one of my prettiest scarves and at the same time a sophisticated wow as a huge evening bolero, cape or shawl. I'm happy with the en Bloc part, it doesn't overwhelm the original design (and OMG you know I am not the biggest fan of mash-ups and mess-ups). I'm not sure IRL if the Pegasus would have been enough without the block-print too, possibly too much like a flag with a winged horse.

So this is my first ever giant silk ever and wow, the fabric and drape is amazing. The 140 silk's so different to the GM cashmeres or the 90 silks, I feel like a beginner (I guess I am) I was playing with it 'till 03:30 this morning and although I've come up with a few looks, I'm not totally confident yet (is there a thread just for 140s, especially how to tie and wear?).

Just to say I also loved the CDC 140 in mostly greens and black cw so beautifully enabled by @frou frou and @Croisette7. There was also the Flowers of South Africa in the mauve, blues and a hint of yellow that I can't give-up on quite yet. A work of art as beautiful as any jewellery. We shall see.

Jardin a Sintra, cw 02 in green/bordeaux/petrol. I think this cw has not been shown here yet. Thank you for letting me share these pictures. I hope you'll find them being useful! View attachment 3823170

I ran around yesterday looking for a teal green color that went with that same cw and found that black, as you wear it with, made the colors in the scarf glow like jewel tones. Yes, your pix have been quite useful!

I love that you nuance colors so carefully -- teal teal with dark green, etc., etc. I enjoy reading descriptions of colors and color coordinates. And I love acid yellow.
I have a 140 in Fantasies Indiennes from 2015 or so. It feels dramatic and fun to wear, floaty and Isadora Duncan. (I do have to be careful not to let the ends slip toward the floor so that I roll over them with my office chair).

Papertiger, congrats on your purchases. Isn't the Canadian Wild stunning? Every single bit of it is coloured with beautiful detail and the corners just finish it off perfectly. I love the ice-white hem's contrast with the sky and the corner with the fish (salmon?) just draws you deep into the design. It will be incredible with your colouring.
I will need to look up your new Pegase cw as I cannot picture it but it sounds beautiful and I am sure I will love it as I share much of your tastes for scarves. I have only one silk 140 and it really came into its own this summer when I wore it out a lot as a kimono-style cover-up. Out of all the formats this is the one that I struggle with the most as, although it is light, I sometimes feel a bit swamped by all the fabric when it is around my neck - something I don't get with the cashmere 140s, oddly enough. I look forward to seeing what you do with yours and getting some inspiration!
Happy Saturday to one and all. [emoji3][emoji274]

I love this for you and am curious about the Pegasus en bloc. I was certain you'd select the Canadian Wild in orange, it seemed so you :)

Thank you. I thought I'd have would have preferred the 150 anniversary cw best but actually I'm ecstatic with this, I think you will love it too.

Thank you. Yes, there's lots of fabric but they make the best Summer shawls, just don't get into any open-top Bugattis!!!
