I just bought the L'arbre Du Vent cashmere shawl and I cannot find a way to take a picture to do it justice. Each corner is a different color and pattern, and the details are amazing.

Excuse my dreary looking office.

JUST STUNNING!

I love the vibrant colors of this scarf!
Un week-end dans l'space.
My SA had tracked down Le Bal Masque (in pink) from fall 2014 for me, by the same designer, Saw Keng.

Great colors! Saw Keng's designs are so much fun!

After months of admiring all your gorgeous (and enabling :graucho:) purchases I have something to share as well from FW15:

Cavaliers de Caucase CSGM (my first CSGM) CW07: I had so much fun trying it out with my jackets, it seems as if I got a new wardrobe, what a good investment

The other is Zenobie in CW01: Love the colour, the way it ties, the pattern.Reminds me of 1001 nights. And the marble pendants on the chain remind DBF of marshmallows :p

What I left behind is L'Arbre du Vent CW12, the one Pocketbook Pup presented a few pages ago. Seeing the photos makes me regret not getting it, but since I am getting past designs at ludicrous speed I held myself back. And somehow it did not seem to flatter me.

Thanks for letting me share, here seems to be the one place where I feel understood. :smile1:

Love how you wore your scarves! Thanks for sharing the different ways to showcase 90 and 140![emoji173]️

Strange thing: I read your comment and thought: I have to check out the quoted posting - something about modelling scarves, turns out it is my own :faint::shame:

I am so bad with keeping up and replying, the threads move so fast, I lurk a lot but I hate typing on my phone.

But alas, I like this forum so much: beautiful pics, nice people, e save haven where I am understood. At the other side it is dangerous, because it is so enabling...
So: thank you all for your nice comments on my scarves and pics and for making this place so special!:tender::drinkup:

LOL! You are adorable

I love this forum for all the reason that you mentioned. I really appreciate everyone who has taken the time and trouble to showcase their scarves and model them. It takes efforts to share. Thanks again!

So, I've been patiently awaiting for the L'arbre du Vent shawls to trickle into stores. I'm interested in the monochrome, cw 02 shown here: http://all-en.hermes.com/la-maison-...0-soie-140cm-l-arbre-du-vent-natur-83674.html

None of the London stores have received any, the last I checked and neither do any of the stores in Paris have it as of yesterday. :search:

Has anyone seen that anywhere? :shrugs: Would appreciate some feedback/photos if anyone has seen it. TIA! :flowers:

Yes, it can be a bit overwhelming. I STILL fall in love with scarves all the time, but you always have to ask yourself - not only "do I love this scarf?" But ALSO "does this scarf love me back?"

It sounds silly, but you must take your coloring and absolutely your wardrobe into account. For me, during the warmer months I have two light sweatshirt-fabric jackets I tend to grab all the time as I'm running out the door; one is olive and one is black. So I look for even just an accent color in a scarf to tie it in.

The yellow is beautiful, but as personally I dont wear any yellow, every yellow scarf Ive ever bought has wound up staying in the drawer. They were beautiful! But I buy to wear, not just to collect.

Let us know what you're getting instead!!! [emoji41]

Dear BBC,

This is such good advice, and going to be my guideline when it comes to scarf shopping. Every time I see a scarf now, I think about what you said:) " I buy to wear, not to collect"

I brought back the green yellow Jardin and kept the white red one, and sold a MT with a really bright light blue color which does not agree with me well. Thanks for sharing that with me, it really made a difference!

A helpful variant on that approach is to ask one's self, when buying a scarf «do I have 3 outfits that the scarf will work with?»

Dear Marietouchet,

sometimes they are just simply too beautiful to pass, like the one you authenticated for me this morning ;) it reminds me my Hawaii vacation, so I convinced myself that I can wear it with all my black clothes:)

Thanks for your help again! you are the best!
