My 40 has definitely been thrown around more than the 25. But it’s still in perfect shape. No scuffs or wear at all. My 40 has been in some bad spots in horse trailers and a couple floorboard trips in the truck and it is still looking perfect. I should be easier with them because they cost so much but I’m a use the bag kinda girl unfortunately 😂. My granddaughter did put her sticky little hands on it on one occasion and it was sticky gross. I used my saddle conditioner/cleaner and it came right off no problem. No issues with a spot or anything on the leather. I use skidmores on my higher quality leather saddles and I’ve never had a problem with it.
The vachetta is darker than normal bags but I believe @coloradolvr (my reverse color/size P9 twin 🤎🩵) confirmed it is not pre-treated after asking her CA. I did spray my handles with apple guarde just in case. I may just be incredibly lucky, but I really do think these bags can take a beating 😊

Agree 100%. I treat my bags well, but also use and don't baby. I admit to not using my 40 turquoise as much, but I do carry it. Given what I spent on it I am determined to love it. I did order an organizer to fit the 40 from Zoomoni and am hoping that it will keep it from being a black hole but still leave that beautiful slouchiness. I think because it's so slouchy it prevents it from looking like the huge bag that it is!

My 25 in amethyst is an every day bag for me. It’s so easy to use and I definitely use it more than my B, Ks, and Constance (my most used Hermes). I’ll use it to go out to dinner but probably never a fancy dinner.

I’ve had no issues with wear and tear and it’s been used quite a lot including travel. Mine is not in a light color but it’s not dark either…no issues with color transfer.

Also in terms on how I wear it, all the above for me…handheld or crossbody when I need to be hands free.

So that poster on Reddit that everyone was mean to is owed a half apology 😂. The size 50 is more expensive and will not have leather interior. The smaller sizes still have leather interior.

Thank you so much! I love personalizing my bags with these hot stamps. LV has so many options. Some locations have special ones too. If I remember correctly this one maybe be a SoHo exclusive. I also got a V on the clochette.

I use mine for longer days when I need to carry extra stuff. I rarely stuff it full, but have on occasion for weekend trips and it can get heavy fully loaded with clothes and toiletries. It’s not any different than carrying any overly packed large leather bag in my opinion. I prefer to carry it half full and usually shoulder carry it. I changed my strap to a smaller one from a smaller bag and that helped. The straps included are meant for men so they are heavier hardware than the women’s. Even half full the size 40 still carries a lot. I actually use it all the time and don’t regret the decision to purchase it for one second 😊
I luckily don’t have difficulty with heavier bags yet (I’m in my early 50’s) but I’m sure it would be more difficult as I age.

I am going to try to use a strap from a different bag on my 40! Thanks for that insight. Not sure why I didn't think of it. The hardware is definitely heavy on the strap it comes with. Which strap did you use if you don't mind me asking?

Do you know if this is a limited release or it's always going to be around for clients to order? I mean, I'm guessing a new lock will be launched with the next batch of P9s so maybe these locks will always be order-able then too??! One can hope...

There's always a chance it will be cancelled. I think it just depends on how big the demand is and how well our SA is able to fight for our fulfilment? Never know with LV!
But let's just manifest positive thoughts for both of us 😅🤣 May we both get them in July and be twinning with our Indigo P9s! 🤞🙌

So update from my end… after 3 months, I finally scored 25 in Amethyst from Germany. I belive in the next few weeks I will have it in my hands and I will post pictures.

I’m beyond happy and excited, I think I was not this happy when I bought my car.

But this journey was wild - I’ve met probably 10 different SAs from LVs all around the world, have their contacts and created a great connections, met few personal shoppers, became active member of this forum and reddit hahah and so on…

Congratulations!!! It was a long wait for you but your perseverance has paid off! LOL about your car!

I use mine the same as @Venessa84 and @Chrisinor as everyday bags. I also own Hermes but find them too structured for everyday carry for me, but I dress casual everyday.
The speedy is such a cool casual bag especially in the beautifully slouchy P9. I absolutely adore mine in the 40 and the 25 size. I carry my 25 in turquoise more than I expected and have no color transfer. I live in jeans and still have no issues.
I shoulder carry and hand carry. I rarely crossbody bags and that’s purely because of personal preference.
As for wear, I have no wear on either and though I’m more careful with them, I don’t baby bags. They can sometimes sit in dirty places and have shown no issues 😊
The leather is definitely not smooth on either of mine, but mine are from earlier releases and I haven’t looked at the newer colors. I would assume they use the same calfskin though for all P9 bags.
Have you been able to touch one in person grande? I think if you do you may be in trouble 😂

Though I’m not looking to add another the dark blue and olive green are grabbing my attention 😎

What a smart way to hang the pouch on the outside so it doesn't dangle to the floor! I'm definitely going to copy that if/when my P9 arrives! Yeah... the indigo one is SO good right? Are you going to order it?

@jooon Not sure if you saw the latest photos from Matt on IG but omg I'm so excited to get the Indigo! Looks like it's the only one with special leather print on it.

OMG I was fooled by the print too! If it was a fabric interior, I would probably cancel my pre-order! It wouldn't make sense to pay more and get a fabric interior. You know what I'm hoping for? I'm hoping the extra $$ we're paying for this colour is going towards LV using Japanese indigo dyeing methods to dye the leather! I mean, it's a Nigo x Pharrell collab and there are so many Japanese references in this collection (which I'm totally here for!). Hopefully that explains the premium price for this indigo piece??? Well, I don't know... one can dream!

Btw did you see the special P9 chain with ALL the animal locks on it? I'm debating between that chain or the single lock! The only thing holding me back about the chain is the weight. Oh yeah, and the price. HAHAHA!

It definitely helped to use a lighter strap. I use one off of a Danube and I purchased a knock off on Amazon that matches the vachetta perfectly. I use both depending on what I’m feeling. It definitely helps me with the 40. I hope it will help you too ❤️😊

Yes!! I saw the chain too! I think the chain is very cool and would get that over the lock but just like you i'm holding back because of the price now lol...I told my CA that I will think about it, and he said "ok i'll keep an eye on the stock availability while you think!"
Also I checked my Order Status and it's showing the image of the bag now! Previously it was just a default LV logo or something lol...got me excited! But it's still POV haha

OMG @Meowmeowpi ! It's happening! It's happening! I rannn to my online account but mine doesn't show the photo like yours! But it says I'm at the POV stage. Whenever I pre-order, I think, "Sure I can wait! Good things come to those who wait." But when the waiting starts, a day feels like a week and a week feels like a month! I need the indigo P9 in my grubby little hands now!

Okok... let's stay calm and think about the chain. I hope I get to see both the lock and chain when the indigo arrives so I can decide! Will let you know what I go for once I've decided!

How much is the chain btw? My SA hasn't sent me any lookbooks of any sort or any pricing...

I have a feeling this one may become an evergreen item eventually but who knows... it would appeal to the collectors if they keep releasing the same charm updated for each easter egg, and I think it will make it cheaper for LV to produce on their end as well (not that they would charge us less for them, god forbid...)
