Here is my new beauty! I've been wanting a black Epi Alma bb for years and am beyond thrilled! This is my first bag in Epi leather and it smells so good! I had no idea the leather would smell this good! This bag is so classy, I see this being in my collection forever.

Hi there ! I am considering selling my Alma BB in DE and purchasing an epi version in noir or navy instead. I’m looking to add more diversity to my collection as I have a neverfull and speedy b25 in the DE prints. I do love how lightweight and carefree the DE version is. For those who have both, which do you prefer? Is the epi version much stiffer and difficult to get in and out of? TIA

My 2 epi bags are definitely slightly stiffer than than my DE Alma.

My 2 epi bags are definitely slightly stiffer than than my DE Alma.

I have the opposite experience. I purchased my epi Alma in June 2019 then the DE in Sept 2021. The epi opening is much easier and can open wider than my DE. I dunno if there is a break-in.

I don’t - the two feel equally not light (like a PA) but not too heavy (like full leather tote).

Question: do you guys find it annoying how the straps where the straps hook onto the bag are raised higher than the other side of the strap when you're wearing it x-body or on the shoulder? I find the alma bb to be the perfect size and although the strap isn't adjustable it fits just right on me. However, after trying on the mono, DE, and black epi leather alma bb, I noticed that the way the strap raises where the purse strap hooks bother me. I know that it's made that way to decrease wear and tear on the handles but anyway. I do love the silhouette and size so I may just bite the bullet but wanted to get your input, does it bother anyone of you all?

I’ve used the epi more than the DE. If I could only choose one, I’d recommend the epi.
