I know how you feel, I've lost my previous pup after almost 15 years together 2 years ago (she was also a papillon) and I missed her so much, I had to get another one.

Do you use other straps with your Alma? Which one have you got?

Awe... I’m sorry you had that loss! It’s so hard to lose a family member after so long- especially during this pandemic. I’m glad you have a beauty to bring love and light into your heart

So I didn’t get a strap yet. I will probably get one from Etsy. They have some with silver hardware. I have an Evelyne TPM and might get a strap similar to that. It’s soft.

Hello everyone. I’m just hopping on to see how your alma bb is holding up. I recently went in to the store and tried on the alma bb in the black epi leather and fell in love! Before jumping the gun and buying the bag, I would like to read some of your personal opinions. Is it worth it? Good for every day? How do you like the silver hardware? Pros and cons? Thank you I’m advance!

I would highly recommend the alma bb both in epi and DE. I have my epi indigo for a year now and I use it as everyday work bag, still looks new. Be sure to stuff it when storing to keep the shape and just be careful with the smooth leather, ie not scrape it on a brick wall or bump into walls.

The alma epi PM i’ve had for 5 years now and it has been in rotation as my go to office bag, especially during winter as it is waterproof. I make sure to wipe the rain water away from the smooth leather to prevent watermark. The silver hardware is still shiny and in my opinion, LV’s silver hardware is so much better than gold hardware..i don’t see any tarnish in my epi’s hardware yet unlike the gold in my speedy which i’ve had for 5 years as well.

So go for alma epi! It’s a very sturdy, classy and lovely bag..

It’s so heartbreaking loosing a fur baby, I lost one of my little dogs, a short haired chihuahua in April 2020, it broke me heart, she was also 15.

Oh no! I’m so sorry! It really is hard, no matter how long you have them. They are family. I’ve always had tiny dogs, until my Golden came along. Still going to get a tiny one soon though. When I got the Golden I had a Yorkie, and chihuahua - so it was funny to see a big puppy bigger than full grown ones

Hi everyone, yet to join the alma bb club but hope I can soon as they’re just so cute!! I am considering a mono bb as I’ve always liked the mono however lately the DE has been growing on me.. it seems like the DE is a very popular option and I know it must be because of the dark colours so it’s more carefree but are there any other particular reasons that people love the DE so much ie are there any other pros of the DE over mono? Thanks!

Personally, I think a monogram Alma bb has too much vachetta for a small handbag. I would recommend a noe that it’s style helps to better proportion the vachetta. However, there are many here that love Alma in monogram. It’s really up to your personal style/preference.

Does anyone have the DA alma bb from spring collection 22? The one with treated leather trims? I am wondering how the treated but ivory colored leather handles would hold up but i guess it may be too early to tell.. i am suddenly smitted by DA but being rather OCD, i am not sure if i should get a bag full of DA.. i am currently trying it out via the daily card holder haha

I prefer DE to monogram due to the vachetta. Until it gets the beautiful patina it stains fairly easily, and I personally do not like watermarks on vachetta. I live in Norway, and the weather here can be unstable when it comes to rain etc. I also use handlotion and handsanitizer that can stain the vachetta as well. I prefer more care free bags that I don't have to "baby" all the time.

If you prefer the mono Alba, then get it. I love the look of an Alma in mono with a golden patina! Just have to be careful until the patina develops properly of course.

I got Alma BB and Neverfull in DE and love them. I don't have to worry about where I put my bags. I have Petite Noe in Mono and Noe BB in DA. Both have a lot of Vachetta which stressed me out a bit beginning. I felt like baby them whenever I go out and just can't really enjoy my bags. It really depends on personal preference, I love patina on those two bags, they're beautiful.
