After stalking purseforum for many years I've finally got my own to post! I picked up my first luxury piece ever this weekend and could not be happier. I went in the store looking to buy a nano noe or nano speedy but neither were in stock so I settled for the alma bb and it was the best decision. It's a graduation/18th bday gift so mom and I split the cost :) This has definitely started an addiction, I really want the Victorine wallet and the toiletry 15 now. I'm going to contact my store to see if I can get my clochette hot stamped since I forgot to ask when I picked her up :/ Anyways, here's my first LV piece!!

Hi everyone, I bought my first lv bag and received it today. I bought the alma bb in damier ebene. The problem is that the handles are wrinkled and the side of the bag have a scratch of some kind. I will upload a couple of pics of the issues. Is the bag defective and should I return it. It is my first lv bag so I wanted it to be perfect.:(

Can someone pls help me?
Hi there and congrats on your bag! Great choice:flowers:!
The wrinkling looks completely normal to me- you shouldn‘t worry about that. The little „indentation“ on the side is another thing. But keep in mind that our bags don‘t stay new (unless you buy to only look at them) :amuse:
Enjoy your bag and don‘t look for flaws (I know I am the same but it destroys the enjoyment)

I just received this same bag this week and I love mine! I think the wrinkles are pretty normal with the coated leather. The mark on the bottom...have you tried to buff it out with a soft cloth or a water wipe? It might come off. But if it doesn't, I wouldn't worry...marks will happen anyway when you use it. I used to look for absolute perfection in all of my bags, and if there was even the tiniest little thing that seemed "off" it bothered me. I've learned to let that go. I don't accept bags that have major issues, like poor alignment or a crooked bag, or anything that would impede the wear of my bag. But tiny flaws don't upset me too much.

I have also learned that there are always small imperfections on the LV bags (handmade, unique ...). And also that we pay a higher price not to get an absolute perfect bag that would hold up and look brand new during the next 10 years (just not possible), but to treat ourselves a piece of luxury, which we can enjoy and use every day:girlsigh::yes:

You have a beautiful collection!
Any epi Alma bb:
1. Must be careful of the handles during storage or while wearing it, to make sure that the handles do not make a smiley imprint on the side of the bag.
2. Must me careful of hairline scratches. They're hard to see from far away, but definitely visible close up.
Damier Ebene:
Very carefree. Don't have to worry about making the smile imprint.
Otherwise they are all gorgeous!

I’d say if you can get your hands on one in seaside then go for it. I think the colour is gorgeous, so sad it’s sold out in my country now.

Hi there-
it‘s official now... I am out of the Alma club :hrmm: I am still not sure how I feel about this and if I want one back in my collection sooner or later. The issue with the black spots on the hw bothered me a lot.
I got an exchange and picked the Noé bb instead. I always had it on my wishlist and the Alma was more of an impulse buy... lets see how it will turn out :flowers:
Still, I think the Alma is a beautiful bag and has a very good price point with all the things you get ( a lot of leather, key bell, strap, lock)

This past week I was reorganizing my small little handbag collection. I have an alma bb in damier ebene and I love that bag so much. It makes me feel so classy but the strap is just too long, and I’m 4’11. The bag is practically to the floor. Last week I acquired the multi pochette accessoires in Kaki. My question is, would it look weird if I used the kaki strap even though there are vechetta tabs against the brown leather? The strap is honestly the only reason why I don’t use it as much.
